Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
I wasn't sure about these spices since I rarely use them in savory dishes, but it surprised me how good it was. Like others suggested, I doubled the spices (could've added more, even) and added onions for the cavity.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
Delicious!! I followed the recipe pretty much exactly, and it came out great. Thanks to this recipe, I also learned to substitute cream cheese + water when I don't have heavy cream on hand. Thank you!!

Capers and Halibut

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
Great flavor, but the capers were way salty (didn't add liquid). I would probably rinse the capers next time before adding them in.

Chinese Chicken Salad III

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
The dressing is great and tastes restaurant-quality! It goes well with Asian noodle salads, too.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
Very versatile recipe! I made these for strawberry shortcake, so I added extra sugar and a dash of vanilla. Turned out great! I can also see turning these into super quick "scones" by adding raisins/dried fruit into the dough.

Wicked Garlic Tofu Saute

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
Simple and very good! Only thing I would change next time is use a tsp less oyster sauce or add more vegetables, since it was more salty than I like (but not too bad when paired with rice). I used fresh veggies instead of frozen.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I was craving cake and wanted something simple to make. This was easy and I already had all the ingredients on hand. I love plain vanilla cake and it came out perfectly (substituted vegetable oil and soy milk for butter and milk).

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
I skipped a couple of ingredients and substituted rice wine vinegar since that's what I had, but the seasoning in this recipe is excellent. Very easy to add or substitute other beans/vegetables as well. I will definitely make this recipe again!

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
Made it exactly according to recipe and came out unbelievably delicious. My boyfriend raved about it. My father, who's normally stingy on compliments, said it tasted like restaurant food. Best recipe I've tried on allrecipes.com.

Grilled Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
The flavors of these wings were really excellent (much better than expected from hot sauce and coke!). I took these on a camping trip and couldn't get enough of them! I made the marinade according to recipe, and added some fresh garlic and ginger for extra flavor. Marinated it for 2 days before taking it on the camping trip. I didn't do the thing with cooking the sauce on top of the grill, just grilled the wings and brushed them a couple times with the sauce while grilling. The saltiness was just right for me, but could use more cayenne pepper or fresh chiles next time, since it wasn't spicy enough for me.

Indian Style Basmati Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
This is an excellent recipe and makes for wonderfully fragrant and fluffy rice just like in an Indian restaurant. I cooked my rice in a rice cooker (after sauteeing everything in a pan) instead of stovetop, and it comes out great that way too. I plan on using this recipe as my basic Indian rice from now on.
