I am vegan who cooks for my carnivorous family of 6 :)
My favorite things to cook
I love fresh ingredients... fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. Having my family eat healthy is important to me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas is for baking :) I love giving edible gifts. Jesus' birthday cake is always a joy to bake with my children and grandchildren.
My cooking triumphs
I just love trying new recipes and having my family exclaim, "please add this to your list of recipes to make over and over again!"
My cooking tragedies
hahahaha It had to be the gingerbread house building party of 2002. My four children each invited one friend. The table was decorated and each child had their own designated work area. Bowls filled with candies and homemade frosting adorned the homemade table cloth.
I saw this going much more smoothly in my mind... LOL
Children covered in frosting, the last batch of gingerbread burnt to a crisp while I attempted to remove the gum from the little neighbor girls' hair (where on earth did the gum come from?!), licorice and m&m's stuck in hair and noses.
Tragedy? Oh yeah!!! Chuckle :)
