Microwave Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
1 A mention of how strong her microwave is would help people from wasting ingredients by burning them (or having them stuck in your pan like concrete). 2 Maybe it is just a 'South' thing, but peanut brittle here has a buttery, rich flavor. The vanilla ruined the entire batch: way too sweet taste and overwhelmed the flavor of the peanuts.

Easy Ham and Cheese Appetizer Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I was looking for this recipe, and followed it to the T. The rolls were soaked in grease. I had made them for my parent's 50th anniversary party, and they were eaten, but I was embarrassed!

Vanilla and Chocolate Delight

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
My crust never felt, looked, or tasted 'baked', even though I left it in longer than the 25 minutes. Plus, I've had a similar dessert and it tasted so much better with ONLY chocolate pudding. (What is the point of mixing vanilla with chocolate pudding? The end result is neither chocolate or vanilla!)

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
The only thing I would change is more cheddar cheese, maybe in the top layer. The parmesan didn't seem to add much flavor. ...Okay, one more thing, but it was all me: Measure your spaghetti carefully... if you get too much, you lose the tomatoey flavor.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This was simply the best potato soup we have ever tasted. I wished I had doubled the recipe when I realized I would only get one bowl, as my family 'cleaned the pot'!!

Cinnamon Crescents

Tasted like snickerdoodles, and maybe it's just me, but the dough was extremely sticky and hard to work with.

Speedy Salmon Patties

This was quite tasty and moist. The worcestershire added a nice taste. I removed skin and bones, but I always do that. Otherwise, wouldn't change a thing!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IV

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
The best I have ever eaten! Don't make the balls too large as you drop them on the cookie sheet, or the middles will stay gooey. Keep them around a teaspoon to a teaspoon and a half.

Saucy Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
My daughter was close to tears, after proudly trying to prepare her first meal for her boyfriend. The recipe did not state the chicken was to be fully COOKED in the skillet until done, only browned. She removed it from the oven, and it was raw. Not everyone is an expert chef.

Snow Flakes

While this recipe held it's cookie press shapes very well, I would omit the orange zest if I made these again. The orange was way overpowering! Maybe substitute almond or lemon extract.

Almond Butter Icing

This is delicious, but do not expect it to harden on the cookies! It remains the consistency of a light fluffy cake icing. Colors well, and is addictive.

Buckeye Balls II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
Loved them. I was trying to make some similar to a local pastry shoppe's, so I added chopped pecans and coconut. Also added paraffin to the chocolate and it became much thinner and coated more evenly.
