Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2012
Super great, but with modifications. 1) one roll of crescent dough is enough. 2) keep the amount of apple the same, the ratio in the recipe didn't give enough apple per dumpling, in my opinion; 3) more cinnamon. Roll out the dough and sprinkle cinnamin, a bit of brown sugar and a dab of butter, this should make up about half of the butter in the recipe. I think that pouring a bunch of liquid over the rolls do make them soggy. Not entirely unappetizing to me, but not pretty enough for a party.

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2004
this is a great base to add things too, first, it is really missing some garlic. I too added everything in at the same time, then just took all the chicken out of the cooker, shredded it and put it all back in and stirred it a lot until it lots all the clumps. I will use asparagus for some color near the end. This can make a lot of food, i have no idea how much chicken i put in, but over egg noodle pasta it will feed two for a full week easily.

perfection, i added some melted rasberry jam to the frosting and it was beautiful and glossy. A few rasberries on top made a great presentation.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
i certainly suggest using bbq sauce instead of the ketchup. also, all i had on hand was rice wine vinegar, and it was still so good. next time, i will add in some mustard, as have seen it in other recipes, and it would work well here.

great in a pinch, but use the good soup mix, not the really powdery stuff, it helps to add some wine too

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2004
ok, first time i made this recipe, using beef, i thought it was a fluke, so I made it again last night. No mistaking it, this is a wonderful recipe!!! i made two smaller pans, one beef one vegetarian. I substituted the beef in the recipe for 1 small can mushrooms, 1 can artichoke hearts, and one can chopped olives. so easy and it came out perfect. i made the recipe as is, but with half the meat in one dish, and the vegetables in the other. fit perfectly in the half sized glass pyrex dishes. i love it and will certainly make it often!
