Cheese Ravioli with Pumpkin Sage Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I only added about 1/2 cup of water also. And as that I am not a huge pumpkin fan I thought the slight hint of pumpkin wonderful. There was not a drop left! Even the 2 year old ate it! It would get 5 stars if some tweaking was done to add a more complex layer of flavors, such as makng your own sauce.

Hazelnut Chicken in Prosciutto-Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
How anyone can rank this recipe under 5 stars is beyond me. This recipe is a 10! There were no leftovers to my dismay, and I did brown and then bake my chicken. Hubby said THIS IS A KEEPER! I will probably hace to make it every week. This is a dish you will not get tired of.

Thai Pork with Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
I changed this recipe to fit my busy life for the dy. I used pork loin and put all ingredients in a slow cooker for 4 hours on high and served over rice after pulling the loin apart. Very delicious!

Puff Pastry Roll

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
The Sauce was 5 stars! The chicken was 3 stars. I used ground turkey and after reading all the reviews and added garlic and some red pepper flakes. But it still lacked something. With the right seasoning this recipe would be sooo good!

Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Well with the mixed reviews on spicyness this I was surprised. I had to add more jalepeno to increase it becuase I thought it needed more ummph! Also I added some steak because I am a mom of 4 boys who crave it. However for the vegetarians out there, use veggie broth and to thicken it instead of pureeing it You could add half a cup of wheat germ!

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2006
Everyone loved this. I did reduce the cornstarch to 1 tbsp. I would add broccolli next time and maybe cashews or peanuts. My 13 yr old son made this (with my help) and the picture is the final product!

Excellent Shrimp Creole

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2003
Very good!! I added less water because we are trying not to eat any carbs (no rice) and I wanted it to be extra thick. I also added some cooked chicken breast, for the kids. Turned out wonderful and very easy to make.

Pork Apple Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2003
Didn't sound to appetizing but the 5 stars intrigued me to make this. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID!! A great change from beef hamburgers....we also lost some to the grill gods so maybe next time I will add more bread crumbs to stifen it up.

From reading past reviews I added 1/8 tsp taragon, 1/4 red peppers, substituted 2 cloves fresh minced garlic, cut milk back to 2 cups and added 1/4 cup of chardonnay before adding the milk as to prevent curdling. It turned out very tasty. hubby and I gave it 4 stars, kids gave it 3.

Coq au Vin

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2003
Easy and delicious. Instead of using non-stick spray I cooked the bacon in my iron skillet and drained most the grease and used a little to fry the chicken in. Not the most lowfat way to cook, but I think the extra calories were worth the taste :)

Seared Scallops with Spicy Papaya Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2003
This was okay. I chose to flour and fry the scallops, if I make this again, I won't. I also used the smaller sea scallops, and I think it would of been better if I had used larger ones. I also took the salsa and pureed and heated it up, that was very good.

Pasta with Scallops, Zucchini, and Tomatoes

It was good, but in my opinion needed a little more pizzazz. I would make this recipe again and maybe add some cayenne pepper, or something else to spice it up.
