My favorite things to cook
Primary focus is on natural and healthy - fish, poultry, fresh veggies and fruits, whole grains, nuts and dairy. I love to grill. Yes, I indulge in the occasional steak and shrimp is a staple in our house.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family believed in canned food, but I didn't see a tin can until I was a teenager. Everything was home canned and came out of a Mason jar. I haven't done much canning myself, but I am about to learn. You can teach an old dog new tricks after all!
My cooking triumphs
My late husband called my lasagna "to die for" but I think my key lime cream cheese pie is my biggest claim to fame. That and my peanut butter pie used to be served in a very exclusive restaurant in Florida.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to name! I've created some monsters!
