Cinnamon Bread I

I must have done something wrong with this recipe, because both pans overflowed within 15 mnutes of baking. I'm not sure what could have happened - I mixed it correctly and my oven is calibrated perfectly. Also all the topping sank to the bottom and did not look appetizing at all. . .I was planning to give these out as Christmas gifts but they ended up in the trash. Sorry to be a naysayer, but I won't use this again.

Veggie Pot Pie

Very good recipe base - I omitted the mushrooms and substituted broccoli for the cauliflower. Next time I will add the broccoli after the green beans as it took decidedy less time to cook. The sauce was a bit too salty for my taste, but I will definitely keep experimenting with it- there is a great recipe somewhere in here!

Cooking Light magazine's Cherry Cheesecake

This is an amazing recipe. At 1200 calories a slice, I usually don't let myself enjoy cheesecake, so this recipe is a godsend. It is light and fluffy, which I find is a nice break from regular "New York" style cheesecake - you can actully eat a whole slice (and just try to stop there). I served it for Thanksgiving and everyone raved about it.

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies were great, but I think there was a bit too much oil in the recipe as most of them ended up stuck to the pan. However, I mashed them all up and we had *fabulous* vanilla ice cream topping for about a week! Will definitely make them again, with less oil.

Great recipe! I made some minor modifications - I used a 1/2 and 1/2 combination of ground lamb and turkey to cut some of the fat, and used a basil and sundried tomato flavored feta. Really went well with tzaziki sauce. Big hit with the family, and I plan on making this again.
