Pesto Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
These tasted great. With the recommendations of others I added a little more pesto and I added a big handful of italian blend cheese. For some reason my burgers fell apart on the grill but it really wasnt a problem because we were using pita pockets instead of buns (its what was on hand) so really it worked out the way they crumbled in the pita pockets. Great flavor! I served with baked crinkle cut fries!

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
This burger is amazing!! The best I've made at home! I used onion powder instead of diced and added a capful of liquid smoke. I grilled them on our indoor grill and they were perfect for colllege game day. I topped with avacado, bacon, tomato and red onion. I served with Spicy Chili French Fries from AR. Perfect combo! DH said "now this is man food".

Spicy Chili French Fries

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
The seasoning on these fries are really great! I didnt soak the potatoes because I didnt have tomato juice. Nonetheless, my fries were still good. I am used to baking fries on 425...higher the heat, the more crunch, which is what we like. So I baked for close to an hour on 425. We had Tex-Mex Burgers with Cajun Mayo here from AR. Great college game day food!

Kathy's Delicious Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
I cant decide on 3 or 4 stars. I made the recipe as stated the first time and it was just ok. I did not like the raw garlic, it was very strong. So the second time I added pepperoni, a can of artichokes, red wine vinegar, chopped sun dried tomatoes, subbed fresh garlic for garlic powder and cayenne pepper. After sitting in the fridge for several hours the pasta salad was perfect! I would say 3 stars as written, I just found that "omph" lacking.

Wazzu Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
This is a good chili recipe! It looks like alot of work, but really it isnt. I used 3 fresh garlic cloves instead of powder. Years ago at a chili cook off people told me cinnamon is a secret ingredient. I put a small dash in and it really brings out the tomato and spice. I've made this recipe several times & have never been disappointed. It works in the crockpot too. Just cook up the meat with the onion & garlic. Throw everything in the pot, cook on low 6 hours. I like to make Jiffy cornbread with buttermilk to go along. The chili is good leftover made into frito pie or burritos.

Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Add some Dijon and cayenne. This is so good and filling for a healthy lunch. I make all kinds of variations. Great with pita, a sandwich, on crackers and stuffed inside a juicy tomato.

Kris' Lentil Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
This was really great! I used smoked sausage because thats what I had. The only thing I didnt have was the tomatoes so I added fresh, chopped green tomato and added tomato paste to the soup. Lentil soups usually have a tomato base anyway. This was wonderful and filling.

Alabama Fire Crackers

I made these because local cafe sells them for a ridiculous price. These little crackers are perfect for eating with tuna and chicken salad!
