Best Ever Banana Bread

There is not any other banana bread recipe that I have used. I have had requests for the recipe every time I make it. And it's easy to make!

Not sure what I did wrong but the soup won't thicken up. I didn't soak the peas because i bought no soak ones. I added the 2 qts of water and the ham hock and boiled. Then I turned down to a simmer for 1 1/2hrs and added vegetables and cooked another 40 min. Still watery on top and a little thicker on the bottom. I turned the heat up and it's been cooking for another 45 min. Still no progress! I am so disappointed but I'm sure it was something I did wrong.

Chicken Satay

These were so easy and yummy. I threw them in the fridge to marinate before work and when my husband came home he cooked the rice and grilled them. That was 2 days ago and I think I'm gonna make them again this weekend. Yummy!!!!

Beef Stew IV

What a disaster. I made this for special guests in my slow cooker. I think I mustve skipped a step because by the morning, though it smelled heavenly, it was nothing more than brown water. I walked to the grocery store and picked up some beef stew seasoning. That saved the day. I'm not sure what I did wrong. I also called my friend at the last minute and she told me to add some roux to make it a little creamier. Worked like a charm, lunch was a success!!

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

I loved this rice. It was so easy to make. I added some ginger powder to it to add a little kick. I also added some peas. I think next time I'll try some bean sprouts and bok choy.

Deep South Fried Chicken

I followed this recipe to a tee and my chicken came out uncrispy for some reason. I don't know what I did wrong. I've tried to make fried chicken before and it's never crispy enough. It was delicious though. I made up a sauce of part bbq sauce and part red's hot sauce. MMM MMM Yummy!!!

Asian Coconut Rice

I loved this rice. I love anything coconut. I made it with a recipe I had for pineapple salmon. It was a perfect complement for the hawaiian pineapple and orange flavors. I think it should be served with any fruit based dish but alone it some may find it too bland. I actually have made it a couple of times and I find it goes well with even Teryaki. Defintely try it. Its so easy and delicious and its fun if you are in the mood for something a little exotic.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

This chili was so delicious my husband looked at me and asked if I had really made it!! First of all the nerve of him!!! But secondly it was my first attempt at chili and I must say it was absolutely wonderful and easy and I'm making it again on Sunday!!!

Broccoli Bites

I tried to make this even though I had no way of telling exactly which temperature I was frying it at. I fried it on the stovetop. It must not have been hot enough because they came out too gooey. They were still tasty with the honey sauce. But I was very disappointed because there wasnt any way for me to tell how hot the oil was. Is there some special tool that I could use next time? Because anyway I can get my family to eat brocolli would be great.

Mexican Layered Dip

Mexican Lasagna

This is so easy and delicious. I made it a couple of times and we love it. Even my husband could make this!!! I actually used flour tortillas because I read the recipe wrong. It was fabulous. I just used less tortillas. The only caution is to not let the tortillas overlap because the bottom one doesnt get cooked. I bet corn tortillas are healthier I'll try them next time.

Gram's Chicken Pot Pie

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

This was my first alfredo sauce ever and it was so delicious. I didn't have enough parmesan so I added some shredded italian cheese. It thickened it instantly.I also sauteed some chicken breast in basil, garlic, and salt and pepper. My husband loved it! Thanks Dawn!
