Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
Made this today, very good..will make again. Made slight changes substituted orange juice for the water, omitted cloves, added 2 tsp of vanilla and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice. I ate it just plain, husband spread whipped cream cheese on his. May try a cinnamon/sugar topping next time or a glaze but delicious as is .

Swanson® Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
This was great! made it up a day ahead of time (thickens it up and more flavorful)- I omitted the oregano (didn't seem to need it) and used a can of Bush's seasoned black beans and used honey instead of sugar-yum!

Aunt Anne's Sesame Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Just tried this recipe today and here's what I did.. decreased the sugar to 1/2 cup, used 2 tsp almond extract, 1 tsp vanilla (I had made anise flavored pizzelle's earlier so did not want a duplication of flavor) refrigerated dough briefly. I did not need to use milk to make the sesame seeds stick. Baked for 15 minutes until light brown on the bottom. They came out airy and nutty with plenty of flavor. Next time I will try it with the anise flavor which I am sure will be fantastic as well. Thumbs up on this cookie!

Pineapple Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
I made this yesterday with some modifications: used 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 2 tsps of cinnamon, and 2 tsps of almond extract (because we love almond) instead of vanilla. Baked it in a greased 13x9 glass pan for 40 minutes - very moist! Execellent! will be making again

Crispy Chocolate Log

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I am not big on rice crispy treats however I thought I would try this because it was quick and involved chocolate/peanut butter! Here are my findings: very easy to make, I used a combination of milk choc chips, semi sweet and maybe 1/2 cup of butterscotch because we are not big fans of butterscotch. I patted down the rice crispy mix after spraying my hands with alittle pam and it worked fine, I rolled the log the long way (using tin foil on the bottom sprayed with pam) and that worked out fine as well. After about an 1 hour, I sliced off a small piece from the end and I was surprised at how tasty this no bake dessert is - this will get eaten up in no time and I will be definitely making again!

Cranberry Mousse Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
This was very tasty and refreshing - the only change I made was to use rasberry jello, made my own graham crust and although it was fine with the crust I think I prefer it in a dessert bowl as is with a dollop of whip cream on top! Will definitely make this again ~
