Cider Cheese Fondue

Absolutely amazing! We made this with apple juice and gouda and came out fantastic. Though the serving size said "10", it was perfect for dinner for two. (Meatballs, bread, veggies, fruit)

Playgroup Granola Bars

I tried several granola bar recipes before settling with this one. LOVE IT! I have low-blood sugar problems and these are a healthy option to keep me going until the next meal. I can def feel the difference when snacking on these vs. chips/cookies. We sub the wheat germ for chopped cashew/almonds/peanuts and add banana chips too.

Pumpkin Bread

My loaf looked perfect in the oven, but the center was continually doughy- so I kept it in until the top was nearly burnt (my oven is small so expected) but it SUNK. sad. Though the edges were yummy, but I was dissapointed.

Apple Cream Coffee Cake

Great hit! I didn't have sour cream so I substituted yougurt and milk. I didn't have nuts either, but the sugar on top gave it a good crusty edge.

Zesty Feta and Shrimp Summer Pasta Salad

Wonderful summer salad. Left out the tomatoes but added crushed nuts cashews and almonds, a two hard boiled eggs. I also pan fried the chicken in olive oil coated in montreal seasoning. I made my own balsamic dressing too (with a bit of brown sugar which added) It was so delicious!

Frosting for German Chocolate Cake

The frosting tasted delicious, but not very thick/creamy- although I'm not sure it was supposed to be? It would have helped to have suggestions for how long to cook it. I basically poured it onto the cake and it dribbled down the sides. Was that supposed to happen? Also, large quantity! I only used about half of it.

German Chocolate Cake II

Delicious!! Moist! Made it for my Husband's 31st b-day and was a hit. I didn't use the frosting recipe, b/c I didn't have that much cream on hand. The texture was pudding-like, but not dense.

Breakfast Cookies

These were a hit at brunch! I used 4 bacon strips and no raisins. The bacon was still perfectly strong- I think more would have been overwhelming. The cornflakes in the center part of the cookie were chewy/soggy- and the outside ones were awesomely crunchy! Next time I would make the cookies much smaller, for more crispy cornflakes.

Lemon Sponge Cake I

Taste was good, texture was dense and firm and spongey- the kind of cake you could pick up with your hands easily. I wish it was more light, like the other reviews said. I didn't have lemon extract but used lemon juice, which was hardly noticeable (I also used vanilla extract). It took more than 45 minutes to cook through- at 30 minutes it was wet and jiggly all the way through the center (9" baking pan).

awesome!!! I used tomato paste, and liquid smoke (in place of worceshire), added red pepper flakes. We only had cheddar. phenomenal full flavor! will def make again!

Quick and Easy Refried Beans

Just whipped this up and added paprika, red pepper flakes, taco sauce, garlic powder, pepper, and 2 tsp of ranch seasoning (gives it a sour cream tang) and it became an awesome dip for corn chips!! I had prepped black beans in my crock pot, and was afraid they wouldn't be soft enough- but came out just right.

Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche

Doubled this recipe and was a hit! Cut oregano and salt in half and was wonderfully flavorful. Subbed Gouda for Cheddar.Made one with a crust and one without- both good! I felt like they were very 'small servings' both my quiches were only about .75" deep, (they puffed up in oven, then settled much thinner) so next time will triple recipe for two pies.

Chewy No Bake Granola Bars

Very sweet! I would cut the sugar in the future. Taste is spot-on! (I added a pinch of salt) Also, came out crumby- all my "bars" fell apart, not sure if a thermometer is needed for a harder candy coating.
