-don't roll the layers too thin, otherwise when you combine them, it isn't very distinct -Use more food coloring to make it more distinct -refrigerate dough if its too soft

My Best Clam Chowder

a keeper! Made my roux with bacon grease and added a smidge of liquid smoke as well. While this recipe said 8 servings, it was just enough for 4 adults as mains, with spinach hot pockets on the side.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Very moist and cake-like! I used 1 cup steamed pumpkin, 1 c brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and subbed 1/2c of the flour for oats. Added icing. I resized recipe for 12 servings, and it fit in a 9"x9"pan as a shallow cake- would've been better in a deeper pan.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Wonderful and soft! I put them in a 12x 13 pan, and wish I had spread them out to two pans.(I did not have a muffin pan) They def double in size and got rather misshapen so crowded. Delicious! Subbed oil for the margarine in the dough, and used about half the amount of brown sugar.

Brought these to a party, and they were a hit. Great flavor! Dough was very elasticy, so I let it "rest" for a 5-10 minutes, and that helped in rolling out. Hand shaping them took time, but I will def make again.

Chewy No Bake Granola Bars

Very sweet! I would cut the sugar in the future. Taste is spot-on! (I added a pinch of salt) Also, came out crumby- all my "bars" fell apart, not sure if a thermometer is needed for a harder candy coating.

Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche

Doubled this recipe and was a hit! Cut oregano and salt in half and was wonderfully flavorful. Subbed Gouda for Cheddar.Made one with a crust and one without- both good! I felt like they were very 'small servings' both my quiches were only about .75" deep, (they puffed up in oven, then settled much thinner) so next time will triple recipe for two pies.

Quick and Easy Refried Beans

Just whipped this up and added paprika, red pepper flakes, taco sauce, garlic powder, pepper, and 2 tsp of ranch seasoning (gives it a sour cream tang) and it became an awesome dip for corn chips!! I had prepped black beans in my crock pot, and was afraid they wouldn't be soft enough- but came out just right.

awesome!!! I used tomato paste, and liquid smoke (in place of worceshire), added red pepper flakes. We only had cheddar. phenomenal full flavor! will def make again!

Lemon Sponge Cake I

Taste was good, texture was dense and firm and spongey- the kind of cake you could pick up with your hands easily. I wish it was more light, like the other reviews said. I didn't have lemon extract but used lemon juice, which was hardly noticeable (I also used vanilla extract). It took more than 45 minutes to cook through- at 30 minutes it was wet and jiggly all the way through the center (9" baking pan).

Breakfast Cookies

These were a hit at brunch! I used 4 bacon strips and no raisins. The bacon was still perfectly strong- I think more would have been overwhelming. The cornflakes in the center part of the cookie were chewy/soggy- and the outside ones were awesomely crunchy! Next time I would make the cookies much smaller, for more crispy cornflakes.

Delicious!! Moist! Made it for my Husband's 31st b-day and was a hit. I didn't use the frosting recipe, b/c I didn't have that much cream on hand. The texture was pudding-like, but not dense.
