Growing up in the south, it was 2nd nature to fry all meats & add bacon grease to all veggies. Now approaching 50 with an overweight hubby, I'm trying to cook smarter & healthier. I've used allrecipes.com for several years & find that the reviews have been so helpful that I had to join up.
Yellow Squash and Zucchini Delight
We like a little spice in our food so I added a bit of crushed red pepper, which I have always used in cabbage. Also a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese after you get it to the plate is tasty. I really liked it & it's much healthier than my good ol' fried squash.
