Creamy Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2007
Super simple recipe--like 5minutes! After the broccoli cooked I stirred in the cheese and milk with a whisk--that was enough to 'break up' some of the broccoli, but still leave some bigger pieces. Doubled the recipe and that used 2 heads of fresh broccoli, with a little leftover. Excellent, quick and easy!!!!

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
AMAZING. I make this all the time to put in my lunch with a veggie burger. I make it on Sunday and put it in individual containers for each day of the week. After making it hundreds of times the only thing i do different is adding feta cheese (just b/c i love it) and double the vinaigrette.

Juicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Excellent! I love to make chicken on Sundays for the week--for salads, quesadillas, whatever. This couldn't have been easier! I used all ingredients as is.. I did however use chicken breasts that i cut into strips. I marinated them for about 2 hours. Layed them out on cookie sheet with edge, and poured a little of the marinade onto them. Broiled for about 5 minutes on one side, turned them over, broiled about 3-5 minutes more. EXCELLENT. so juicy!! Had for dinner that night. a salad the next day and a quesadilla 2 days later and they were still juicy. Finally no dried chicken!!

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
this just cooled enough for me to taste....it is AMAZING!! and oh so cheap to make. I am a student and wanted something filling and cheap...I got that and some great taste too! Only thing I did--used chic broth instead of water, added 1/2 can left over black beans, added 1 tbl of premade pesto. I cooked the pasta seperate as directed and looks like I only added 1/2 the prepared pasta...oh this is gonna be great in my lunch this week!

Gunline Coffee

AMAZING!! Just made this and had a cup, tastes just like the expensive star-schmucks! Am taking it to work tomorrow and can't wait to see how the folks like it. 7-1.25 oz envelopes was about 1.5cups of hot cocoa mix. Also I used the splenda/sugar mix: 3/4c. Perfecto!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
simply Ah-mazing!! so very easy and so very yummy! I forgot the tomato sauce, so i used 12oz can of V8 (bumps up the nutrition anyway). 2nd time i made it, i made more of a 'stoup' by adding 1cup of COOKED rice (a little al dente) about 45 minutes before being done..it helped 'thicken' it up a little. Great either way!!!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2002
Made this a few months back and everyone loved it. Men and other picky eaters love it. I add a healthy sprinkling of Tony Cacharere's seasoning (on the spice aisle) to zip it up and cook the potatoes before I bake it. Absolutely wonderful and easy!!!

Great!! I use half light mayo and half light sourcream to try and cut back on the fat content, but this is great!

Babe Ruth Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
I have been making these for years and am just now rating them...they are great!! Quick, easy and always a hit... not sure that they taste like a babe ruth bar, but who cares, they taste great. Only tips I have: I mix the corn flakes PB and choc chips in a large bowl then am able to dump them in the melted mixture and get a better blend of ingredients. I also line a 13x9 pan with aluminum foil and then press the bars into it. Once in fridge for little while, you can pull them out of the pan by the foil and then use a pizza cutter to cut them into squares of any size. Be careful you don't fridgerat them too long though--they become a real booger to cut.

Fabulous Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
My family has always enjoyed "fried" cabbage. Mom used to make it with bacon and cook it in the bacon drippings..yummy, but not so healthful. I LOVE this recipe!!! so easy and so tasty!! And it keeps the cabbage healthy. Didn't change a thing!!!

Crunchy Romaine Toss

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Awesome. I just made this and ate some for lunch and am taking the rest to work tonight. I always make as is the first time, so the only thing i know i will do different is too use a little less sugar, maybe try splenda as another reviewer stated and try to cut the oil a little to lessen the fat content. I did steam the broccoli for about 2m--just enough to make 'em turn a nice green. I'm not a fan of raw broccoli. Otherwise really great salad, cheap and easy too!
