Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
Excellent muffins! I did add a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drop of vanilla extract to mine. I also only had 2 bananas on hand but they still had lots of nice banana flavor. My daughter loves them and the house smells sooo good. Thanks!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
This was fantastic! I did use other's suggestions and boiled the chicken and veggies in chicken broth then used the broth to make the gravy. I mixed the gravy with the chicken mixture before putting it in the shell and it wasn't dry at all. I did add some poultry seasoning to the mixture as well. My six year old practically licked her plate! This is definitely a keeper in this house!

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
This was fantastic! I added some veggies to mine (red and yellow peppers, mushrooms and onions) so I doubled the sauce as recommended by others. They sauce was perfect, nice and spicy with actual flavor not just completely overpowered by the spice. I am very happy with this recipe and with definitely be making it again!

Mary's Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
Everyone loved this dip when I made for a get together. I did cut the mayo to 1/2 cup and added 1/2 cup of sour cream. Also, I think next time I will use Pepper Jack cheese just to give a bit more kick but that would be a personal preference. It was excellent anyway and I would recommend this dip to anyone looking for something delicious to take to a party!

Campbell's Kitchen Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
Great base for a recipe! After reading many other reviews I did add about 1/2 cup of grated cheese (mix of cheddar, mozzarella, and parm)to the main mixture along with a sprinkle of salt, pepper and Mrs Dash. I also used mixed frozen veggies as I didn't have any peas on hand and smashed up Ritz crackers on the top. We did enjoy it very much although I do think that without the additional seasonings it could be quite bland (for our tastes anyway).

Easy Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
We loved this chicken. It was truly nice and moist and crispy on the outside. I halved the recipe because I only used to chicken breasts. A keeper for me!

Classic Hash Browns

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
I found these quite good. They definitely need to be cooked longer than the recipe states in order to get them nice and brown.

Golden Apple Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed this potato salad. I used sour cream instead as it was what I had on hand, I omitted the onion (I don't like raw onion) and added a hard boiled egg. Nice creamy dressing. I will definitely make this again.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
This recipe is fantastic. I will only suggest what others have before and mix the pasta with the sauce in the bottom layer. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly and everyone loved it. Thanks!

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
I really enjoyed this recipe. I didn't have any garlic on hand so I used a "garlic plus" seasoning and a bag of frozen Asian vegetables (red pepper, snap peas, onion, water chestnuts) I also added half a fresh onion with the chicken. Even my girls loved it, not a bit left after supper. Great recipe. Thanks!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
I made these using a muffin pan instead of forming little loaves. I have to say I was disappointed. I actually found them quite bland myself, I didn't get any flavor from the cheese at all, my daughter didn't even finish one and my husband tasted the sauce and then scraped the rest of it off before eating them. I followed the recipe exactly. Won't be making these again.

Salsafied Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
Made this tonight. It was very tasty. I used taco seasoning in with the chicken as suggested so I didn't add salt or pepper and used No salt added chicken broth. Turned out excellent...I will definitely make it again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
I made this recipe using a pork tenderloin roast. Fantastic! The roast was 3lb so I cut the sauce recipe in half. Everyone in my house loved it and there was not a scrap of leftovers. I am making it now for the second time as I write this review and the house smells wonderful, definitely a keeper :-)

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
I made this recipe exactly as called for and it turned out excellent. This is the first time I made a lemon meringue pie from scratch and it tastes so much better. The bottom of the crust ended up being a little wet and mushy so next time I will let it cool longer on the counter before putting it in the fridge.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
This pie was absolutely delicious. I used Gala apples as they were what I had on hand and did toss them in a sprinkle of cinnamin before I put them in the crust. I made sure to pour the sauce very slowly and to get it into every little whole in the lattice. It turned out perfect! Everyone loved it, Thanks Gradma Ople!
