Best Spinach Dip Ever

We love this recipe. Definitly a party favourite. I use Knorr's Cream of Leek soup. Make sure to use real mayonnaise NOT Miracle Whip. After making the recipe as is I've reduced the mayonnaise to 3/4 of a cup. Awesome!

Basic Crepes

Would have been a 5 star for me if the liquid to dry proportions were more 'crepe like'. Once I added 1/4 cup more milk the consistency was good and the batter spread nicely accross the pan. Whisking the egg, milk, and water together and then sifting in the flour will prevent clumps.

Creamy Rice Pudding

With cinnamon this is a great recipe! I do not use 2 pots to cook this, instead I temper both the milk and eggs when adding them to the pot of rice, just add a few spoonfulls of hot rice to the milk and egg before adding them and it will not curdle or leave chunks of cooked eggs like some reviewers stated. I also like to add a pinch of nutmeg (more than a pinch will ruin this recipe, I learned that the hard way). The second time I made this I significantly reduced the sugar and replaced it with baking Splenda, I couldn't tell the difference.. In the end this recipe is pretty good the way it is, but adding cinnamon makes it a 5 star for me.

Slow Cooker Oats

I tried this last night, and like some other reviewers mine burnt on the outside of the crockpot. I used 1.5c water and 2c 1% milk (this may be the reason it burnt so bad) and I ommited the butter. Instead of raisins I chopped up some dried mango. I cooked mine for 8 hours on low. The salvageable oatmeal was ok and the texture was good but it had the burnt taste. The crockpot is now soaking in hot water for the second time to remove the charcoal. I will definitly try this recipe again but will be putting everything in a pyrex bowl inside the crockpot with water.

Chocolate Mousse Cake IV

The mousse tasted great. I used 50 cal. Dr. Oetker mousse dessert and it turned out nice and light. However I reluctantly bought boxed choc. cake and it was too fluffy and wouldn't come out of my nonstick pans, I should have buttered and floured the pans I guess. So I remade chocolate cake from scratch and the texture and weight was much better. If you can, make the cake 2 days ahead so the flavor of the cocoa has time to absorb. The last piece I had definitly tasted the best!
