Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I am only giving this four stars because it was a bit bland. I did add Worcestershire sauce to it, but I think next time I will add more of it and I will definitely add more salt and pepper the meat when I'm cooking itl Otherwise this is a great starting point and I will definitely make it again.

Greek Island Chicken Shish Kebabs

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
Oooh, I made this tonight and it was lovely! I didn't have the thyme so I used marjoram instead, but mmm mmm! It is good! Would definitely make again. Thanks so much for this Dolce. I let it marinate for about 8 hours and it was nice and juicy too.

Maple-Garlic Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
I made this tonight and it was good, a bit too mustardy for me, but next time I make it I will just cut down on the mustard. I let in marinate for 8 hours and I must say it was juicy! I did make it in the oven at 350 and I'm not sure but I think it took about an hour, I just cooked in until reached 160.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
I'm only giving this four stars as for me, it wasn't that flavorful. I think I may have to heat the olive oil and garlic a little longer. And I think the next time I try it I will add some salt. It was pretty moist so I am happy with that.

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Wow, I've made this pie a couple of times and I must say it is lovely! I made an Oreo cookie crust and I made my own Cool Whip because I can't get either where I live. Should I ever move back to the States I will still be making everything from scratch as it is soooo good! Definitely a keeper.

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
I made this the other day and I too made some changes. This turned out very nice. I split the sugar into a 1/2c white and a 1/2c brown. I also added a 1/4 tsp each of nutmeg, allspice and cloves. I will definately be making this again!!! My husband and I LOVED it!

Root Beer Float Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
I am making this as we speak and it is gorgeous! As I live in a country where root beer is non-existant I have to rely on the good, kind nature of my family to send me root beer extract. And if this is the only way to get my root beer fix I don't mind at all! It does taste exactly how a rootbeer float should taste. Thank you so much for this recipe!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
I made these the other night and they were lovely. But I did change a few things. I added the seasoning to the breadcrumbs and I cooked in the oven for about 40 minutes to begin with and then only another 15 once I put the sauce on. They were fantastic! Will definately be making again.

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
These are great. I did however change it. I used vanilla extract instead of water to mix with the egg white, added a 1/2c of brown sugar to the 1/2c white sugar and I increased the cinnamon to 1 tsp. I baked them for an hour and a half and stirred them up every 15 minutes. They were crunchy this way. I know that I am not rating this recipe per se, but rather a variation but this was a great starting point. Yummy!

Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
This was fantastic! I had to search high and low for the sweet potatoes as where I live we don't have them that often. Same with the marshmallows, but WOW, yummy!!!!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
This was really good. The only thing was it was a bit too sweet so next time I will use less brown sugar, I also mixed the brown sugar and ketchup together and put it on top. I added 1 tbls worchestshire sauce to it and I think the next time will add 2 tbls. I didn't even notice the ginger that went into this so maybe next time will make it without it and see if I notice anything missing. All in all a great recipe that makes a very moist meatloaf.

Teriyaki Marinade

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
This is a fantastic marinade! And it does make a lot, so you can marinade not only chicken but also pork and still have some left over. The only substitution I made was onion powder for onion flakes.

Chinese Roast Chicken with Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
This is so good. I've made it several times and OMG, I've never made a better roast chicken! I did rub the chicken first with the sesame oil and then poured the soy sauce over it. I roasted it in a pan with a lid and that meant that the soy sauce didn't dry up. Usually I would add a cup of chicken stock, but I didn't this time and this worked perfect for the gravy. This was so good!

Taco Seasoning I

This is fantastic. I live in the UK and the seasoning packets are fine, but missing something. This is just what I was looking for! No more packets for me!

Oven BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I've been making the ribs like this for quite some time. I use my own bbq sauce that I make, but I use this method for the ribs and OMG they are fantastic! I use all beer and simmer them for 2 hours before putting them in the oven to finish them off and the meat just falls off the bone. They are so delicious! Thank you.

Green Bean Bundles II

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2004
I made these with fresh instead of canned and I steamed them beforehand, not as salty that way. I also only let them marinate for about 8 hours. They were fantastic!
