Shaped Vanilla Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2014
This recipe is a keeper. Ingredients used are always on hand. I rolled them all in a ball and dipped half in a sugar and cinnamon mixture and the other half I left plain then I iced with homemade icing after they cooled. The dough was sticky but if you keep adding flour to your hands it's not a problem. After rolling, I placed on cookie sheet and gently pressed them with bottom of a glass to flatten out a bit. Still left them 1/2 inch think and they cooked at 375 for 10 min. Moist, soft, and a huge hit. Even softer the 2nd day.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2014
These were so good. Knew they would be because I have made the cookie version before. Even better 2nd day. Trick to get dough spread out in a 9x13 pan. Put wax paper over top of sticky dough and press outward with your hands. Doesn't stick to the paper so it's easy to get a nice even spread in the pan. Otherwise the dough will stick to the spoon and/or your hands.

Chewy Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
Wow. So incredibly good. There was no way I was going to get 2/3 of the crust to spread out in a 9x13 pan so I used a 9x9 pan. This made them much thicker and took longer to cook. About 40 min. But they are amazing.

Cake Mix Cookies V

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
This was ok for me. Biggest issue I had with these was how dry they tasted. I did add a tsp. of vanilla but other than that followed recipe exactly. The oatmeal flavor gets totally lost and you cannot taste it at all. I also added a cup or so of raisins. My husband loved them and normally I adore cake mix cookies but this one didn't do it for me.

Cake Mix Cookies VI

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
Oh my gosh. Best cookie ever. Cannot believe how good cake mix can make a cookie. Followed recipe exactly. What is nice about these is that second and third day they are still moist and soft, Unlike scratch cookies that harden and stale so easily. I will make these again and possibly try different variations. Thanks!

Apple Cinnamon White Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
I followed the recipe exactly. I think the cake was good but I did find it wasn't as moist as I would have liked. I think next time I would add 4oz or sour cream or vegetable oil and see if that helps. It did take 47 minutes to bake at 350.

Michelle's Honeybun Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
I could not stop eating this and neither could the rest of my family. One of the best desserts ever. Only changes I made was added 2tsp vanilla (removed 2tsp of water). Increased cinnamon to 3/4tsp. Greased glass baking dish and baked at 350 for 39 min. Poored icing over immediately. It actually gets better the next day. This is a keeper for me.

Oreo™ Cookie Bark

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
Great concept. very good as you would imagine since it's oreo's and white chocolate. Cut my recipe in half. Used one package of vanilla flavored almond bark. melted in microwave for about 2 min total. broke one 14.5oz package of oreo's with my hands. folded the 2 together, spread over a small baking sheet greased and lined with wax paper. 45 min later it was done. Great idea for parties.

Confetti Fudge Bites

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
This was easy to make but I wouldn't call it "fudge." It didn't have many fudge like qualities you would expect to find. To me it tasted just like store bought icing formed into bite sized pieces. It is very sweet. Not horrible but not something I would make again.

Easy Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
These were great. I made them without chocolate chips because I didn't have any on hand. They would have been even better with them. Instead a added a Peanut butter glaze from this site which worked out well. I love how cake like they were. I have made some before that end up being really dense, but these were very fluffy and moist. I will make these again and add the choc chips for sure.

Potato Casserole III

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2012
This was ok. Definitely don't need 2 sticks of butter. I just used 1 stick and that was even too much. Next time I will use half a stick (1/4 cup) in the casserole and leave the cereal dry on top. Could also cut back on some of the sour cream and it would still taste good. I used a 13x9 casserole dish and baked it for 40min.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This was a good cake and everything turned out as it should but it tasted a bit to "eggy" for me. Next time I would do 4 eggs instead of 5. Followed the ingredient amounts as listed but did the set up a bit differently. I poked holes in the cake immediately after baking. Used the stem of a regular dinner fork to make the holes so they were big enough to soak up the liquid. Pored the liquid over top of the hot cake, covered with foil and put in fridge overnight. next day milk was totally soaked and iced it with whip topping. Turned out great.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
I followed others advice and opted to 2 cups brown sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, and 3 cups powder sugar. This came out great. I started the 2 min boil at the first sign of bubbles. I would strongly suggest using a stand-up electric mixer for the final step. Crank it up high and it will remove all the powder sugar lumps.

Caley's Classic Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly as written and it came out perfect. 2 whole loaves gone in about 3 days. Used 2 medium size zucchini's which equaled just about 2 cups. Baked for 50 minutes. Making it again this week and will not do anything differently than before.
