Becki's Oven Barbecue Chicken

Easy and very delicious! I followed previous reviewers' suggestions to reduce the ketchup and add soy and other spices. I doubled the sauce, poured it over chicken legs and wings in a glass dish lined with baking paper, and baked it at 400 for 1 hour. I will definitely do this again!

Apple Butter Spice Cake

This is a keeper! I used bran flakes for the cereal and chopped almonds instead of pecans (what I had in the house). This is perfect to make for office gatherings, too.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Wow - these two items are good alone, but together they are AMAZING!! I used peach-mango preserves and Fuji apples (to avoid browning), but otherwise I used all the ingredients as listed. Everyone wanted the recipe, and I will definitely be making it again.

Baked Pork Chops I

Good recipe, wrong cooking lengths. Pork chops dry out when overcooked, even if they are sitting in sauce. I made my own cream of mushroom soup base and added a can of golden mushroom soup, plus I doubled the wine. I would repeat, but the cooking time is about half or less in every instance.

Peach Pie

Perfect! I did use half brown and half white sugar, plus about a Tablespoon of corn starch. I baked it at 350 the full 45 minutes, then turned off the oven and let the pie sit in there for another half hour (as suggested by previous reviewers). Great!

Strawberry Pie II

Very good, but you'll need more strawberries than it calls for. I ended up with almost an entire quart in the dish, which meant I had about 1/2 cup of the syrup mixture leftover because it wouldn't all fit.

Wonton Wrappers

Wow, this was a lot of work. I did it because they don't sell wonton wrappers where I live, but in addition to making the stuffing for the wontons and fried rice to go with it, it took a long time. This is a Saturday project if I ever do it again.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Fabulous! This got many rave reviews at our faculty Christmas party last night. I left out the rum entirely and didn't have whole cloves, so I followed a previous reviewer's advice and substituted 1/2 tsp ground cloves. I had no curdling problems at all - just whisked in the hot mixture 1/2 cup at a time. I will definitely make this again!

Stracciatella II

The whole family enjoyed this. I did put in two cloves of garlic when I cooked the chicken. Then, I didn't have enough celery to put more in after the blending, so I threw in half a can of corn. I also used canned spinach (and probably less than what the recipe calls for). I juiced two lemons rather than measuring the lemon juice, too. Oh, and when I made the egg-broth mixture, there was too much to add it all to the soup pot, so I only ended up using half of it. We liked it as it was, so I threw out the rest rather than adding it to the leftovers. I will make this again!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

I used leftover rice we had in the fridge, so because that meant I didn't have a packet of seasonings, I just added curry, thyme, and extra salt to the flour/spice mixture. Also, because the rice was already cooked, I first threw in some chopped celery and frozen vegetables, let them cook a while, and then added the rice. Milk worked just fine instead of cream, too. I usually don't like to change a recipe so much the first time I make it, but I didn't have time to run to the store first. It was good even with my changes!
