ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I did make several changes though. I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned. I dipped them in boiling water, peeled off their skins, and put them in my blender. I omitted the tomato paste and added extra garlic along with the spices. Meanwhile, I sauteed a diced green pepper with the onion and then added that to the blender too. What a fabulous puree!! While that was simmering, I added 1/2 tsp. of thyme, a shake of rosemary and a bunch of sliced mushrooms to the sauce. I omitted the wine, since I didn't have any. I served it over whole wheat pasta, and it was scrumptious!
