English Trifle

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2003
This is a nice, basic trifle. It does make quite a bit, but the leftovers are still great. Mine were not runny or mushy at all. I will definately make this when I need an easy dessert for a group of people.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

Reviewed: May 26, 2003
This was a good recipe, but next time I make it I'll add a little more pb and double the jelly (I could barely taste the jelly when I made it before) I used oatmeal instead of the wheat germ and it turned out well.

Guacamole Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2003
These were great. My family LOVES avocados so I followed the recipe as is. Once my mom tasted one she just kept stuffing them into her mouth and told everyone else that they didn't taste good. This is a great recipe if you want a change from a basic deviled egg.

Broccoli Cheese Cornbread

Reviewed: May 22, 2003
This was a tasty cornbread. I added some shredded cheese with mine and sprinkled a little extra on top. I did have to bake my cornbread much longer, but it was because of the pan I used.

Greek Garbanzo Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2003
This was sooo yummy. The only changes I made was to increase the amount of feta cheese and I used a creamy italian dressing.

Gages

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2003
I gave this recipe only 3 stars because the jury is still out. It has an interesting flavor. The only things that keep me from rating this higher is the recipe calls for vinegar but what kind? (I used red wine vinegar) and also I think it would taste better if the onions and tomatoes were also cooked and then chilled along with the eggplant. I will give this recipe another try with a few changes to see how I like it.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2002
This is easy and fool proof. I cooked the pork and shredded it one day, then the next all I had to do was mix in the BBQ sauce and heat it up-that made for a quick meak! I will try it with different sauces to find my family's absolute favorite.

Banana Blast II

Reviewed: May 26, 2003
This is a great banana smoothie. Other than adding extra banana for a stronger taste, the recipe is great as is.

Almond-Crusted Halibut Crystal Symphony

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2002
This was a delicious recipe. My mom,who normally frowns at whine sauces, loved the sauce and my dad who questions anything that isn't BBQ said it tasted great. Also was not difficult to make, although there are several steps. This is a keeper. (Mom also said it can be our weekly fish dish!)

Iced Mocha Fusion Shake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2003
This is a quick and easy iced coffee drink. It is much cheaper than going to a coffee place and I don't have to leave my home. I followed other reviewer's suggestions and used only 2 T. of sugar and 1/2 t of vanilla.

Tomato Chops I

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2003
This was a delicious and simple recipe. The pork chops were very tender. There is quite a bit of the sauce, but it is basic enough that you could use it for other things. The next time I make it I will try making only half the sauce, because that would probably be enough for just the pork chops.

Spicy Peach-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2003
This is a good change to other more basic pork dishes. The sauce is great-not too sweet and not too strong. Next time I need to make some mashed potatoes or something to put the sauce over.

Apricot Kolaches

Reviewed: May 16, 2003
These turned out well. I chilled my dough a little longer than an hour because it still seemed a little too soft when I checked it. The cookie part has a sweet biscuit type flavor. I will definately try these with other fillings.

Green Beans With Walnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2003
This was an easy recipe to make. Good flavor combination with the green beans and walnuts. Next time I will cut back on the butter and oil because it was a little too "greasy" for my tastes.

Milky Tea

Reviewed: May 2, 2003
This does taste like a milk shake (a warm one-which isn't a bad thing). It was a little too sweet for my taste, so next time I will cut back on the honey.

Almond Sauce Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2003
I was not impressed with this recipe at all. After baking the sauce was a grayish color and didn't give the dish enough flavor. If I try this recipe again I will try making it without baking the sauce with the chicken.

I liked this recipe very much. I had to bake it longer than the recipe called for, but it was still easy and tasty.

Pakistani Style Vegetables

Yum! This was great and it smells wonderful cooking. I didn't have any peas so I left them out and it was still great. Will definatley make this again and again.

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2003
This recipe did not turn out well for me at all. I found it way too thick and I the overall flavor was not my thing. I did like the flavor and texture that the oatmeal brought to the smoothie and I will try incorporating it into other smoothie recipes I like.

Glasser's Greek Marlin

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2003
This is a great recipe. I would imagine you could use it with pretty much any fish (especially white fishes). Next time I will add more garlic-but only because I love a strong garlic flavor!
