Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2003
This was a really good dessert-especially the sauce. When I made it-I intended to use a springform pan-but found out too late that they are not water-tight. About half the liquid oozed out everywhere, but I forged ahead and baked it. The (unintentional) decrease in the pudding mixture gave it more of a french toast taste. But it was still great.

Becky's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2003
This is a nice, basic chicken salad. I used a little more of the cream than called for and cut back on the mayo and I thought that gave it a lighter taste (I'm not a big fan of a heavy mayo taste). I did add some red pepper flakes to give it a little zing. My mom kept eating it trying to figure out what gave it the little zing-and I never told her!

Corn Dog Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2002
I liked this recipe very much. I had to bake it longer than the recipe called for, but it was still easy and tasty.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2002
This is a great recipe. It is sweet and buttery and the pb flavor isn't overwhelming. I am making this recipe again tomorrow!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2002
Fool-proof chicken cordon bleu recipe. Next time, to ease the preparation, I think I will use shredded swiss cheese so that it is easier to roll the chicken breasts (my swiss cheese slices made it difficult to role).

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2002
It was a good manicotti dish. I couldn't taste much of the white sauce because the spaghetti sauce I used overpowered it (I probably used too much, I didn't measure it, I just poured it on) I also ended up having TONS of the stuffing left over, so I put it in a baking dish, sprinkled with some seasoned bread crumbs and parm cheese and baked along with the manicotti. I think next time I will just make the stuffing as a casserole!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2002
This is easy and fool proof. I cooked the pork and shredded it one day, then the next all I had to do was mix in the BBQ sauce and heat it up-that made for a quick meak! I will try it with different sauces to find my family's absolute favorite.

Almond-Crusted Halibut Crystal Symphony

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2002
This was a delicious recipe. My mom,who normally frowns at whine sauces, loved the sauce and my dad who questions anything that isn't BBQ said it tasted great. Also was not difficult to make, although there are several steps. This is a keeper. (Mom also said it can be our weekly fish dish!)

Chicken Broccoli Ca - Unieng's Style

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2002
This was a very good recipe and simple to make. My only "complaint" is that it didn't have as much of a sauce as I would have liked-it might not supposed to, I'm not sure. It was still a very good recipe and I will make it again.

I actually only made the meatballs from this recipe and they were delicious-next time I'm going to have to try them in this actual recipe!

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2002
This is a cake I have made numerous times. My mom's coworkers always ask her to bring it (which means me to make it) in all the time. The only thing I do differently is add the oil last (I generally use about 1/4 to 1/3 cup). I have also experimented with different cream cheese icings-all have still tasted excellent with the cake.

Herbed Pork and Apples

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2002
This was a great recipe-and all I did was adjust the cooking time (I had a smaller roast). The meat itself was great and adding some of the gravy made it even better. My family loved it-it's a keeper.
