Hello Dolly Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
I love these! My mom has been making these at Christmas time all my life! My fave! However, we mix the grahm crackers with the butter and then press them into a 9x13 pan. Then layer the ingredients instead of mixing them all. First the Choco chips, nuts, coconut, and then drizzle the condensed milk.

Hello Dollies I

Reviewed: May 8, 2003
Love these!! This recipe was handed down to me by my mom, minus the sugar.....which is NOT needed. Also, I use a 9x13 pan. A Christmas tradition in my home!:)

Cincinnati-Style Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
Well, I have to say that reading the other reviews has been really funny! Seems there is a different version of this from everyone that considers themselves an expert on the subject. Bottom line is that this is a good recipe regardless. The fact that it has chocolate in it makes it a non-traditional chili, so not everyone will like it! I fixed it for a big family get together and we all thought it was very good! I think it would be better to stop hearing how authentic it is and just plain old "do we like the recipe?" What is good about this recipe or not good based on our preferences. There are a zillion "skyline" recipes on this site and no two are the same! Will the real Skyline Chili please stand up! Sorry could not resist.

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2005
This is a good basic idea... i do agree that if you use all of the soy sauce and all of the soup mix it is too salty. I cut back on both and they were delicious! Everyones tastebuds are different!

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
SO MANY GREAT REVIEWS! I REALLY HAD A FLOP ON MY HANDS! The cake did not bake in 55 minutes! It did not come out of the pan, it is just a pile of goo! I am a chocoholic and this is too much for my taste! There are quite a few of the same recipes on this site...a couple of them have less chocolate chips... i will try that. One of the other recipes also has you bake the cake for 60 minutes...IT IS A MYSTERY.....

Chocolate Walnut Rum Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
Love these treats! I make these every Christmas! Defenitely refrigerate overnight before eating. I have found that if you eat them right away the rum flavor is very strong.....it kind of mellows and the flavors blend after sitting awhile in the fridge. :)

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: May 8, 2003
Excellent comfort food recipe !! I used loads of garlic powder and Mrs. Dash table salt...one consideration would be to bake the chops alone and cook the gravy on the stove top then serve on the side... otherwise these were great !!

Wonderful breakfast casserole! I used hashbrowns on top like a lot of other folks did. I browned them first. Thanks!

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
My family loved it! I did use cream of mushroom, but will try the cream of chicken too! I also added 1 can of milk. Next time I will use 2 cans of soup and maybe some sour cream for a creamier texture. Just a personal preference! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Fresh Peach Cobbler I

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
Good recipe. I was pressed for time and did not make the topping. I used southern style pillsbury biscuits rolled in cinnamon and sugar. They can be torn up in smaller pieces or just plopped on top like you would the homemade stuff!

Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2004
This is very good. My husband, who like lots of guys, does not care for fruit with meat... but he did like this. I seasoned with salt and pepper and Mrs.Dash table blend....worked great! Also, i baked one tenderloin a little over 1lb. at 400 degrees for 1 hour, covered for the first 30 mins. and basted frequently the other 30 minutes uncovered. Very tender.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
Very good ! after all the mention of too much salt i decided to omit it and use mrs. dash ...then salt to taste at the dinner table . there were many who mentioned adding less water and being confused about the simmering method , so as suggested i kept the lid on for 15 minutes and removed it for 15 minutes ( my chops were not thick )it was not terribly thick so i made a milk and cornstarch mixture to add to the liquid in the skillet , it worked ! also used garlic powder. no complaints here !! yummy !!
