Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
we made 2 layers, the first we followed the recipe to a T and used an electric mixer (not that we really used it that much) It turned out good, but slightly dense and not sweet enough. On the second layer/try we doubled the sugar and halved the baking powder as well as hand mixed it. It turned out much better! We had everyone taste test and everyone agreed. I also baked it with a second cake pan filled with water below it to keep it more moist.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
On one of my loaves I added nuts and layered finely chopped nuts on top before baking. It tasted AMAZING and looked gorgeous! Such a simple way to dress it up!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
Delish! only thing I would change is that the ball size should be closer to 1" and I had to make an extra 1/2 batch of the drizzle.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
Absolutely addicting! My friends beg me to make these. Cookie: I use a rounded teaspoon for each cookie. this helps have consistent sized cookies for pairing them. filling: I roll 1/2 teaspoon (depending on the ratio you like) into a ball and then flatten them between 2 pieces of parchment or wax paper. (use a cookie sheet or book to press them down evenly) this will give you perfectly round filling.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
This is my "go-to" recipe for Banana muffins and loaves. One batch will usually make 1 10x5 loaf. (you will only need 1/2 the crumb topping) for super moist results fill another pan with Hot water and set in your oven. (I set my oven to 350 on convection bake) I also like to make 2 batches and add an extra large banana!
