Cream Cheese Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
These are very good when made with the 8 oz of cream cheese and only 2 cups of flour. The dough works well in the cookie press. With the cream cheese, the cookies will come out thinner than your traditional spritz, so that's good to know up front. The taste of these is fantastic and very soft and buttery.

Egg in a Boat

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Very good and very easy! This was my first time making these and I had to flip them about halfway through cooking because the whites that spilled onto the top of the bread wasn't cooking. I was worried that it may ruin my yolks, but it didn't at all! they came out absolutely perfect. As another reviewer suggested, be careful about burning your toast while cooking the egg....another reason to flip these about half way.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
Hands down, the best banana bread I've ever made/had! I love the whole slices of banana instead of mashed. This recipe is also incredibly easy, fast, and made from ingredients that you always have on hand. Loved it!! Thanks for this one!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
I was disappointed by the way this cake turned out. I made it exactly as stated and it was good, but not what I expected. I think I was expecting something a little more moist and with more of a coffee/liquor taste. In hind sight, I should have just made tiramisu if that was what I was after. This may be better with more coffee/liquor added as other reviewers suggested.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
This one is a winner! It is so easy to make and looks and tastes like it took you all day. I'll never buy canned cranberry sauce again! Another reviewer suggested to use any leftovers on oatmeal or as a pancake topping the next day. It's awesome on oatmeal! A few guests ate this all by itself. Thanks for sharing. I'll be using this from here on out.

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
One of the best lasagna recipes I've tried. I'm not a big fan of meat, so this was right up my alley. I used zucchini, spinach, mushrooms, peppers and onions. It was fantastic!. I've also had it with just mushrooms and spinach and it was just as good. Any veggies will do.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
This was not bad, but not so good either. I'll stick with my traditional oven roast in the bag next time. The veggies came out mushy and the sauce was disappointing.

Fabulous Fajitas

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
I thought this would be a great quick fix, but it actually took a little longer than I expected and was not very good. The italian dressing mix just doesn't jive with the mexican theme of this recipe. Don't waste your time (or ingredients) with this one.

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
Great recipe. Personally, I like more tomatoes and sauce, so I add another can of tomatoes and a small can of tomato sauce. So easy, but so delicious!

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
Just had this for dinner tonight. Wow!! I used it for bbq chicken stuffed baked potatoes and topped it with sour cream, cheese, and chives. My husband and daughter loved it. I loved it because I threw it all in the crock pot, baked some potatoes, and it came out perfect. It took me about 5 minutes of prep time total.

Great spring/summer salad. It's easy to throw together and the dressing is fantastic. This always goes quickly when I make it for family gatherings.

Curry Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
What a fantastic recipe. My sister in law made this as an appetizer for Christmas dinner and it was a huge hit. The flavor combination in this soup is absolutely wonderful! It keeps very well in the fridge for a few days and is perfect for a hearty lunch the next day. Thanks for sharing this.

Spiced Parsnip Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
I was not impressed by this recipe. This was the first time I had ever cooked with parsnips and didn't care for the flavor of them. I've had the Curry Pumpkin soup from this site and it was absolutely fantastic! I love the curry in this one, but thought this soup was a little bland with an overwhelming "carrot" taste, which is basically what a parsnip is. Go for the Pumpkin soup instead. It's much better.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
This deserves every bit of five stars. It's a fantastic recipe and very quick and easy to make. One suggestion: do not use toothpicks to secure the meat; they are impossible to remove after cooking. I will use string instead next time. This is a perfect casual dinner party main course.

Holiday Leg of Lamb

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
Absolutely fantastic! I made this for Easter dinner and it was a huge hit. I added orange juice to the rub as another reviewer suggested and marinated it overnight. Also, 175 degrees is way overcooked for lamb. Take it out of the oven at around 140 because it will continue to cook after it is taken out. So pleasantly surprised with this recipe. Will definitely make this again!
