Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2013
I'm only rating the mayo mix for this recipe because, let's face it people, the add-ins you use do not matter. I used pickles, eggs, shallots, ham and cheese because that's what I had, but anything will work--throw it in there. The mayo mix is really good and is sweet but it is meant to be that way obviously. The portion of mayo to pasta is right, it wasn't too dry or too runny. I'm saving this one.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

This recipe came out so much better than I ever thought it would. Absolutely delicious. DO NOT change a thing. I followed the recipe exactly. It's perfection.

Harvest Pumpkin Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
Will definately make again...made my whole house smell like Autumn and I had nothing but positive comments from friends and family about these cupcakes. I did not have pumpkin pie spice so I had to improvise with cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and fresh ginger from another recipe. Also did not have Orange for the frosting. It didn't matter. Had to adjust the time in my oven and reduce by about 10 minutes as my first batch was too browned.

Rich and Creamy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
I didn't have fresh mushrooms so I used canned and fried them with the onions and garlic. I followed the recipe otherwise and it had an ok flavor. I am not impressed. Will not make again. P.S. I cooked it closer to 2 hours.

Gyoza

I loved these and will make them again. I had never made them before and found that folding the wonton wrappers to be a little tricky. In the end, just know that they do not necessarily have to look perfect, they just have to be sealed really well. A lot of work but definitely worth it. (I added about 2 T. of finely chopped ginger).

Lemon Cake with Lemon Filling and Lemon Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
This cake is just ok. I followed the instructions completely yet my frosting was too runny and ran off the cake. The cake itself is just mediocre and too dense for my liking. The lemon filling layer is absolutely fabulous though. That being said, I will not be making this again.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
Very good! I am not a fan of people altering ingredients and then posting their opinion; however, I did make one change and I think it made a big enough difference to share it. I boiled the carrots in a box of beef broth and saved that to later make the gravy with the hamburger. Doing this and adding butter while mashing them made the carrots tastier.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
My kids asked me twice if these were homemade because they didn't believe me. I have bought The quick mix brownies from the grocery store so many times. These were a winner with everyone. (decrease flour to 1 cup).

My family raved about these. One said "restaurants should be told to use this recipe". Scrap all other recipes you may have and just use this one.

Corn Dogs

This recipe is fabulous. I will NEVER buy those yucky grocery store corn dogs again. Thank you for this recipe. My kids had a blast making them with me, and ask for them often. *Thumbs up*
