German Chocolate Cake III

Excellent! It was, admittedly, more steps and work than I usually put into cake baking, but it was well worth it. Everyone agreed that it was exceptional.

Ellen's Buffalo Meatloaf

I have a freezer full of bison, so I'm quite familiar with it. Ground bison is significantly less fatty than ground beef. That must be considered when using in any recipe, although bison can be substituted for beef in any recipe. It's ALWAYS better! As for the 'juice' mentioned in the author's post, I've never experienced that. I typically find that the only 'juice' I have is made up of the ingredients I've added. The bison I get from Niobrara Valley Bison is so lean that I sometimes add olive oil if I"m going to grill burgers. I can't say enough about switching from beef to bison. Rarely do I do anything with beef anymore.

Basic Pizza Crust

I LOVE making my own pizza now. I made this crust and let my three grandchildren top their own pizzas. What fun. And they loved the pizza, too!

Chex® Pumpkin Pie Crunch

Delicious and addictive! I would recommend using the oven rather than the microwave, though. My microwave smelled like pumpkin pie for 3 weeks!

Carrot Cake

A first for me. I was pleased with how it turned out. A little surprised, though, at the amount of oil in the recipe. I love it and will make it again, but I'll try changing it up to make it a more healthy recipe.

Turkey Pot Pie I

Although I think I could speed of the preparation, this recipe is great. I've never made a pot pie, so I was leery. But it didn't disappoint. I would, though, add peas next time. It just doesn't seem complete without peas.
