Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
This was amazing! I didn't realize until I was almost done that I only had about two tablespoons of balsamic, so I just added what I had. It was still delicious! I can't wait to use the correct amount next time!

Speedy Homemade Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
This was pretty good. I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned. I think I'll use more jalapeno next time, as it didn't have a kick like I wanted it to.

Mint Chutney

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
I was very excited to find this recipe and I followed it exactly. It tasted like pureed onion. Because the reviews are so good, I will definitely make this again. I'm wondering if there's a certain type of onion that needs to be used with this recipe.

Real Hummus

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
This is a great recipe! I tried it first with dried chickpeas that I had soaked overnight. I forgot to cook them first so the first batch was very dry! Then I used a can of chickpeas and it turned out perfectly! I accidentally put too much lemonjuice in it, but that was my fault, not the recipe's!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
This recipe is amazing! Hands down the best blueberry muffin I've ever eaten. I used buttermilk and brown sugar instead of white sugar for the topping. I also added vanilla and extra blueberries. The muffins came out perfectly! I will use this again and again!

Fasoliyyeh Bi Z-Zayt (Syrian Green Beans with Olive Oil)

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
I followed this recipe exactly and it was very good. I'm not a big fan of green beans but I like this recipe. Next time though, I'll use less olive oil.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
This was ok but way too spicy. I ended up using the entire thing and still had to put more chili powder and cumin in (i use two lbs of meat). I usually use hot italian sausage and love spicy food, but the 1tbsp of red pepper flakes was way too much. The flour made it unnecessary to use tomato paste. I will try it again, with modifications next time.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
This is the best pork chop recipe I have ever tried. I had three pounds of sirloin pork chops, so I doubled everything except the soy sauce. I also put in three teaspoons of ground ginger and a little liquid smoke. Amazing!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
This is the most amazing pumpkin bread I've ever eaten. I used the rest of last year's fresh pumpkin, and was 1/2 cup short, so I used pureed butternut squash to make up the difference. I used one cup brown sugar and one cup white, and it was still a little too sweet for me. I'll adjust it again next time. I made this last night and there's less than half of it left between my husband and I! I can't wait to share this with my family!

Spicy Shrimp and Tomato Scampi

Reviewed: May 24, 2014
This recipe is a good starter recipe but needs additional ingredients to make it great. I added about three tablespoons of butter for taste, and added Thyme and about 4 oz of cream cheese at the end. I used spaghetti and mixed it all together rather than putting the sauce on the pasta. I will be doing this again!
