Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2013
I liked this recipe very much! I'm always counting my calories so I used light mayo, nobody noticed the difference, try it this way.

One - Two - Three - Four Cake II

Reviewed: May 14, 2013
It's true what a review says about not wanting to buy cake mix again after doing this recipe. The cake tastes amazing and has a wonderful consistency; spongy and at the same time moist. Best of all it's made from every day ingredients. It can be glazed, frosted or served just as it is with a cup of coffee.

Smoked Salmon Sushi Roll

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
6 tablespoons of rice vinegar are way too much, 2 are enough. I omited wasabi. Also this recipe definetely needs cream cheese and sesame seeds.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
I took the chance and tried the recipe for an afternoon dinner. I added gorgonzola cheese and I can't even start to explain how good it was. Served the salad with slices of toasted loaf and beef turnovers. Perfect for a diner with the girls!!!

Healthier Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2013
I couldn’t say what is “healthier” about this recipe given all the butter and sugar it has, but they are delicious, soft, and I’ve never made oatmeal cookies with dates it’s an amazing idea!

Easter Nests

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
Super cute! I used strawberry jam instead of frosting because I filled the cupcakes with strawberry jam and the frosting just seemed like too much. The toasted coconut is a wonderful idea!

Babe Ruth Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
After reading some reviews and noticing most users said the bars didn’t look pretty I decided to sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the mixture after putting it into the baking dish. They looked pretty but these bars are way too sweet for my taste. I wouldn’t change anything on the recipe; the bars are good but for people with a sweet tooth.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2013
Delish!!! Cut calories: the recipe calls for two eggs but I only used the egg whites and it worked just fine. I used paprika instead of cumin, I like my food spicy. I didn't tell my husband they were veggie burgers and he believed they were regular burgers until I told him the truth! We had a delicious diner I would do them again anytime.

Tuscan Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
Great taste and low in calories. Just add a clove of garlic to the olive oil before cooking onions zucchini and mushrooms. Use seasonings without measurements, taste the sauce until you like it. And don’t skip on the fresh parmesan it gives the pasta a lot of flavor.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Good flavor but the glaze looks opaque when set. It wasn't glossy I was a little turned off by this.

Spinach Lasagna III

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
After many concerns and no answers on other reviews here are my own answers after finishing the recipe: YES you can make ahead, I stored mine uncooked in the fridge overnight and cooked it next day for dinner, just don’t cook the noodles; buy pre-cooked and add a little bit more sauce. YES you can use cottage cheese, just drain it for a while and press it so most of the water comes off the taste is very similar to ricotta and cheaper. YES you can add a layer of meat, just cook it with a little minced garlic and olive oil. NO the spinach is not enough, add 1 more cup. And finally YES you can cook the spinach with the mushroom/onion mix.

Holiday Brie en Croute

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
I used phyllo pastry sheets, they were out, it was december 23rd and I had to finish my cooking. The result was amazing, I read a different recipe that used phyllo but used the rest of the ingredients in this recipe. I can't even start saying how much better it is if you use phyllo, only two or three sheets covered in melted butter, try it!

Snowballs II

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
This recipe definitely needs more vanilla; I soak the nuts on vanilla a bit before adding them. I saw some comments about the cookies being hard or dry, this might be because the butter is not at room temperature or not well creamed, the butter needs to look like mayonnaise before adding the rest of the ingredients; if the butter is runny or semi melted the cookies turn out hard, on the other hand if the butter is cold or firm the cookies crumble and turn out dry.

Great Halloween material. We made a "scary" dessert table and I brought this cupcakes. The idea is cute and simple to make. They looked yummy, tasted yummy, I loved them. I didn't had cookie crumbs so I used sprinkles.

Cheesecake Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
Great recipe, a quick easy way to turn regular brownie mix into a home-y creation. I mixed the cheese batter to much and they turned out rather a beige color than marble-y, next time I will be more careful when mixing.

Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
I didnt use the cheese and it turned out great, I made the butter and I spread it inmediately on a french bread slices. I toasted the bread three hours later and it gave the bread a great consistency; soft and moist in the middle and toasted on the edges. If refrigerated this makes a delicious garlic butter.
