Hot Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
This is by far the leading recipe for Italian Sausage. I scaled it down to 20 servings, added a lot more fennel and a little more anise. Thank you Jim Wyllie for sharing.

German-Style Weck Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
This is the best Kaiser Roll recipe I have come across. I have made this twice and still working on getting the air pockets out. Tried to attach a photo of my work of art but did not go through. This recipe is so much fun to make and the result might not look like a bakery item but darn close.

Chef John's Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
This is the real deal! Wonderful! I use butter to cook instead of oil, just a personnel preference. You can also sub buttercup squash with great results.

Honey Barbecue Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
The absolute best. I subbed Maple for the Honey just because we have an abundance from tapping. After making this numerous times, I decided to skip the brown sugar, way to sweet. This recipe with my own little tweeking has gotten me RAVES. It's been suggested I bottle this to sell.

Quick Shrimp Lo Mein

This is a very easy meal to prepare and delicious. The only thing I do different is sub the sesame oil with evoo. Just a personal preference. Good directions. You can also make this with any meat of your choice.

Grilled Chuck Steak

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
Amazing how tender the Chuck steak came out. I marinated a frozen 1 1/2 inch steak at room temp. for about 8 hours. Grilled it on the stove as I do a regular top sirloin watching not to burn it for just a few minutes till a nice medium rare. Let sit covered for about five minutes before serving. I did cut down a little on wine vinegar and sugar. Only reason I did not give five stars is the 45 minutes is way to much time unless you want an extremely well done steak.

Sweet and Spicy Pork and Napa Cabbage Stir-Fry with Spicy Noodles

Better then any any Chinese Restaurant. Any combination of Veg., Meat and Pasta can be used. The sauce I would not change a thing with. Excellent.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
This might be a good recipe, BUT...the first few photos I saw totally put me off. Shouldn't the cook have any say on what pics are to be printed? I have seen so many good meals butchered by bad pics, this was the worst. Thanks for the recipe Julieliz. I did enjoy it.

Classic Goulash

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
This is by far the best Chop Suey/Goulash recipe of any that I have seen submitted. Try using a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup instead of Tomato Sauce. It thickens it nicely. And don't forget to add the Green Pepper. Diced Celery can also be added.

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
WOW.............If you let them proof 1 to 1/2 hours, they are the most superb HB Buns. Light, fluffy, and no yeast taste. Next time I will make 16 instead of 12. They turned out too HUGE. Which is OK if you have a big appetite. These rolls are versatile. By different shaping they are easily adaptable for many different type of rolls. Thank you Kay for a great recipe.

Guy Approved Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
The best! I make mine without the liquid smoke, omit the salt because the potato chips and crackers have plenty, and increase the cayenne pepper somewhat. I've been making mine with Moose or Venison. They come out moist, hold together and ever so tasty. Also makes great meatloaf sandwiches.

Southern Fried Chicken Gizzards

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. Boiling the gizzards for 1 1/2 hours did the trick for me. The seasoning can be adjusted to any ones liking. Me...I preferred not to include all the extra dry seasoning. I did marinate them for about 1/2 hour in my home made hot sauce before flouring. What a wonderful treat to find this recipe. Thank you P.S. I give you two 5 stars for this one.

Chicken Chimichangas with Sour Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Wonderful recipe. I made flour tortillas from scratch because you are not able to buy a decent commercial one in Maine. Then I had to sub the Monterey Jack cheese with 1/2 Mozzarella & 1/2 mild Cheddar. I shredded them & combined into Chicken mix which had cooled to room temp. Oh, and the can of green chili was subbed with home grown canned Big Jims Peppers which I almost forgot about. Everything turned out perfect.

The Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I tried this with Moose meat. Very superb recipe. Quick and easy to prepare. Next time I will saute the onions a little first though. By accident I put all of the 57 sauce into the mix, so I chose not to put any more on top.
