Me, plain and simple.
About this Cook
I started cooking for my husband back when we were dating, because I wanted to impress him. It worked. Now I cook to impress myself. And I love it!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking Italian food, Indian food, and comfort food. I have started dabbling in baking. But my all time favorite things to cook are casseroles. Mmmm.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Italian, and when we were young, we would go to my great grandmother's house and have an all day festival of making fresh pasta and home-cased sausage. I miss that! My mom still makes great homemade gnocchi.
My cooking triumphs
I apparently made "the best curry in the world" for my husband a couple months ago. Any time I make Indian food, I consider the results a triumph. Have I mentioned that Indian food is my very favorite thing to cook?
My cooking tragedies
ALWAYS RE-READ THE PACKAGE! I accidentally bought a mixture of ground beef and ground pork. I was in a hurry. (I wanted ground beef) Let's just say I ruined what would have been an awesome casserole.

Beef Bulgogi
Like a lot of other reviewers, I used brown sugar instead of white and it turned out amazing. I also added very thinly sliced vidalia onion to the marinade. I cooked it in a very hot skillet. I'm sure it would have tasted amazing grilled, but even cooked on the stove top it was excellent. I love this recipe and will definitely be trying it again!

Matar Pulao (Rice with Peas)
I made this recipe the other day, and while it was very aromatic and made my whole house smell AMAZING, it was kind of lacking in the flavor department.
