Caramel-Fudge Turtle Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
I used melted caramel bits and drizzled it on top. I sprinkled ground up heath bars on top. They were pretty good. They got rav reviews by others, but I thought they were too sweet. Easy to make!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
VERY TASTY! Followed the suggested changes and added 1 can of beef consomme. Such a nice change of pace from regular beef roast. Used Hawaiian rolls and even 2.5 yr. old daughter loved to dip her sandwich!

French Crepes

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Perfect crepes! Beating the mixture and using ample butter in the pan is key! Reminds me of when my Oma used to make them growing up! DELISH!

Fruit Pizza II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
Just finished making these for our 4th of July dinner tonight. Made star shapes and did designs in blueberries and strawberries. Had to try one...then two...YUMMY! So easy, so delicious, and looks amazing! Didn't do this glaze; microwaved strawberry preserves and drizzled as a glaze.

German Apple Pancake

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Made this all the time growing up and make it now for my daughter. My brothers never liked apples, so my mom just made it plain and doubled it in cake pan for our family breakfasts. We loved it drizzled with warm syrup or homemade jam. Also called it Pannekuchen.

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
WOW! This dish wowed my family for X-mas Eve! I read most of the reviews and made modifications accordingly; added garlic while sauteing mushrooms, used a dry white wine, not champagne, and because I doubled it, it took about 1/2 hr. to reduce. I also added about 1 cup grated romano cheese to help thicken which really gave it a nice flavor. This is on par with pasta dishes at restaraunts and certainly the best I've tasted!! My fam always makes the traditional ham and turkey so this was a very welcome departure that made them begging for more! Only regret is that I didn't quadruple the recipe, as suggested, so people could have seconds....sauce was gone with 6 people only enjoying generous firsts!!!! AMAZING!!! LOVE IT!!! WOULD GIVE IT 10 STARS, if possible!!!

Bagel and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
This recipe was a HUGE hit at our staff brunch. I did some tweaking to the recipe also; substituted ground sausage for the bacon and baked it at 375 for about 40 min. as opposed to 400 as my first casserole cooked and browned too quickly. I omitted the onions by accident, just forgot. I also used the garden style egg beaters and this was the perfect flavor combination. I made if for my family the next day since I had left over bagels and my brother who said he normally doesn't go for egg bakes LOVED this recipe and even had the leftovers for dinner! I will recommend and make again!

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2003
This recipe lived up to all the reviews! It was soooo delicious! I made it for dinner with a friend who is a rib-lover and she raved! I made it with boneless spare ribs which were tasty and not messy. I also toned down the brown sugar as suggested in other reviews, but mainly because I only had about 3/4 a cup left! I also subsitituted Coke for the rum because I didn't want to buy it for the small amount I would use in the recipe since we don't drink it. No, the ribs aren't as tender when you grill them, but it doesn't matter to us since the sauce was so amazing! Better than the restraunt ones I usually eat!

Navajo Fry Bread II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2002
This is a "family size" recipe that makes a lot of fry bread. I would 1/2 it or even 1/3 it for two people. I found the dough to be far too sticky to pat out into individual servings. Next time I will add less milk and roll out the dough to make it thin enough to make tacos. It tasted good, but needs modifications to our taste.
