Aunt Betty's French Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
Seriously so easy and so good. I used regular vinegar as that is all I had. I also just used onion powder. I added a little garlic powder. It was wonderful and I didn't even need to measure the ingredients, this seems like a no-fail recipe!

Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
Just made these, and followed the directions exactly. They turned out perfect! Not greasy at all? I wonder if it made a difference that I used an electric mixer, perhaps that helped? These are a hit. Simple to throw together quickly, and taste great!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2004
I had to double the recipie due to a Christmas party, but didn't have enough shortening so I used almost all butter and they turned out just fine. I also used red and green sugar mixed in with the cinnamon which makes them look nice. I would not go as far to say these are the best cookies ever, but they are very easy to make and are good. There just seems to be something missing though??

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2004
Very good. I didn't have a large jelly roll pan, so I used one 9x13 and one 8x8 and it worked perfectly. The bars were very good!! The only thing I might add next time is some pumpkin spice or extra cinnamon. Will make again for sure!!

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2004
I made these today, and yes...they are good, but as some other reviews say, they really aren't anything special. I thought they lacked flavor, so after I made on pan, I added peanut butter chips, and that helped a lot. They are good, and I might make them again because I like that they are soft, yet have crispy edges. I just didn't thing they were the "best cookies ever."

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: May 24, 2004
This was such an easy recipe, and it turned out great! I did use about 5 cups of rhubarb, but other than that did everything the same...and it was perfect!! A keeper for sure!!!!

Betty's Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
This is a wonderful cookie! However, we used butter, not shortening. We rolled the dough in colored sugar for Christmas. The dough is gooey at first, but if you let it sit for just a little bit, it turns out perfectly!!!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2002
It is good, but watery?? I was hoping it would thicken up as it cooled, but no such luck. I followed the recipe, although only used about 8 cups of apples. I guess next time I would not add as much water. The flavor is good though.
