Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

wow. the best. i marinated for 24 hours in a gallon zip lock bag and i skewered some w/just pineapple. my guests devoured these at a luau bday party.

great, one of the best chicken recipes on this site. i also pound out the chicken breast to make it flatter, i double both the wines so there's more sauce and at the end i add a cornstarch slurry to thicken up the sauce. fabulous! easy, not alcohol-y tasting and super easy. serve over pasta.

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

i've never made jamabalaya before and this was super fast and ez. i made it exactly as directed and it was fab! i am going to make it again and add shrimp and tomatoes this time...maybe beans too. it's really tasty, but a bit pale in color. try it! everyone loved it in my house!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

i love chicken adobo, but i hate cooking on the stovetop (smelly). so i was so happy to find this slow cooker version! i added 2 bay leaves and after 4 1/2 hours (on high/low) i think it came out great. both my son and my husband loved it. my sister uses balsamic vinegar for a stronger taste, as this is a bit mild. i'm making it again now, and am going to add some ginger as recommended below. if you've never had adobo or aren't uses to filipino foods you may not like this. it's not your average chicken dish. also...i use white wine vinegar and low sodium kikoman soy sauce.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

good cookies. these were very popular in my house. my sister adored them and took 1/2 of them home w/her when she left. my husband said that if i replaced the choco w/raisens they'd be a very good oatmeal cookie too.

Aussie Chicken

the best way to make chicken. my husband wants this at least once a week now! i love the orig. from The Outback and was eager to try my hand at this at home. it's sooooo good, you gotta try it. i ddnt have any dijon on hand so i used regular old french's yellow mustard. it was great! try it, you'll love it!

Aimee's Quick Chicken

extremely salt! dont use bacon bits! use regular cooked bacon. i uses the grainy dijon mustard (grey poupon) and kikoman teriyaki sauce/marinade. next time i will use cooked bacon. my picky son ate it though. it's very ez and fast. i used tenderloins instead of breasts and they were done perfectly in 30 minutes.

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

my dad (retired navy officer) hated this stuff when he was active duty, but i saw this recipe and thought it would be neat to try. i think it's great! i served it over rice and my son ate a whole serving, and he hates meat! i did use ground turkey and didnt have any worchestershire sauce, but it's still very tasty, cheap and FAST! good alterative to stroganoff.

Amish Sugar Cakes

these are fabulous! they are huge and soft and puffy! the batch makes about a thousand cookies so i chilled 1/2 for later but ended up making them anyways because my husband and i couldnt stop eating them! chill before scooping for easier handling. i will be making these often! try them, you'll love them too! might be good w/mini m&m's too.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

theses cookies were great! but the batch makes a ton. i followed the recipe exactly as directed and used my icecream scooper to make uniform balls. i chilled my dough for 1/2 hr before i scooped them onto the cookie sheet. they are very soft even after i left them out uncovered overnite. i will make these again, but i think i'll cut the recipe in 1/2 in the future. i used generic instant vanilla pudding and giradelli semi-sweet chips.

Raw Apple Cake

my husband LOVES the other (doctored) apple cake recipe on this site, but said that he actually loves this one more! my 2 yr old son, who doesnt like sweets, loved the icing and ate a whole piece by himself. i didnt add any nuts or raisens and used granny smith apples that my son picked at a local orchard.

Swedish Apple Pie

loved this pie. it reminds me of a cobbler. i was leary when i dumped the batter on top of the apples, but man, it's sweet, cake-y and has a nice crunchy top. i omitted the nuts.

Bread Pudding

i have never had bread pudding b4 and i dont like rice pudding (b-cause of the texture) but this was very yummy! the sauce is FABULOUS! i used day old cinnamon bread and sprinkled nutmeg on top b4 i baked it. i was a little daunted by the water-bath technique, but the pudding was firm and custardy, not soggy and gross, thanks to the water-bath (i think). it's a very christmas-y tasting dish. BUT VERY SWEET!

Cheesy Meatloaf

i have made this loaf 2xs now and it's fabulous. i use cheddar cheese and ground turkey. each time i put it in the loaf i think it's too dry...but it's not! and it's so savory! i cut the recipe in 1/2 for my small family. i highly recommend this loaf!

Amish Friendship Bread III

wierd. i guess i'm the only one who thought that this bread was dry and...eh. i made the other amish bread (w/vanilla pudding) last night and that one came out so much moister than this one. also, by 50 minutes this one was burnt.

Amish Cinnamon Bread

this is a great bread! i made it exactly as directed, but w/o any fruit or nuts! it was so moist and yummy. not too cinnamon-y! i made the starter a few weeks ago and froze it in 1 cup baggies. now i can make this fast and ez bread whenever i feel like it!

Angel Biscuits II

these are the best biscuits i've ever made! everyone says so. they take a little more effort and time but it's well worth it! i made them late at night so i was going to cut the recipe in 1/2 but decided not to at the last minute. i'm glad i didnt because my toddler son ate 3! mine didnt brown on top and i used lemon/milk instead of buttermilk and they were fab!

Southern-Style Chocolate Pound Cake

this recipe is good, but mild. if you're a chocoate lover...look elsewhere. my husband prefers the other chocolate poundcake on this website though. i think it's just too mild for him. it did make 3 loafs though.
