I have loved cooking most of my life and now that I'm retired, am able to experiment with new recipes, take cooking classes and entertain friends.
My favorite things to cook
Osso Bucco, Paella, braised meats, all vegetables, Jerusalem Artichokes,roasted chicken, pasta dishes, soups.
My cooking triumphs
Always was uncomfortable with handling dough especially pasta. Finally took a class in Ravioli making and successfully made four different types of ravioli including a dessert one that was awesome. Now I am no longer intimidated by handling dough!
My cooking tragedies
Not a great baker...once made a Strawberry Shortcake that looked more like the Leaning Tower of Pisa! And did not taste good because I used the wrong type of flour.
