The best potato soup I have made. I sauteed some onion, celery, carrot & mushrooms in a small amount of olive oil, then added the potatoes and rest of the ingrediants. Seasoned with garlic salt, fresh ground pepper and a little cayenne. I added some chopped bacon with the cream. Yum, thanks Raymond

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

Delicious and so easy to make. I added some pumpkin pie spice, but other than that I stuck with the recipe. A big hit at our family Thanksgiving dinner. I will be making this again!

Pinto Bean Cake

We enjoyed this, I made it for my husband's birthday. We had fun having him guess what the surprise ingrediant is. It came out a little dry, I would cook a little less next time. My changes were brown sugar instead of white, half craisins half regular raisins & chopped almonds. Topped with cool whip. It was nice to clean out some leftovers from the pantry & end up with such a good result!

Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes

OK, it's the day after Thanksgiving and you need to know these were the talk of the meal. More than one person told me these were the best sweet potatoes they ever had! My changes: Cooked at 400 for 1 hour, no oil, no foil. Be sure to keep a rim of potato in the skin to keep it's shape. I also added 2 TB of lemon juice, 1 TB pumpkin pie spice, changed the walnuts to pecans & topped with marshmallows. I have been asked to bring this again for Christmas. Thanks Shannon great find :)

Apple Butter Pork Loin

This was good, but it just tasted like a pork loin with apple butter on it. Don't think I would bother with it again. It did smell good when it was cooking though!

I made this for Christmas, it looks nice but I didn't really taste "eggnog". Good concept though I will keep looking for a good standard holiday salad.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

This smells wonderful while it is cooking. I added some extra mushrooms & wine to the pot & it was as good as the recipe my Mom used to make. Serve over egg noodles.

Chicken and Dumplings III

This tasted sooo good. I couldn't get my "dumplings" to cook all the way though. I ended up putting the chicken on a cheddar/herb biscuit & it was outstanding. Definately a winner in our house. Cooked the thighs in broth, also added onion, mushroom, celery & carrots. Seasoned w/ Montreal Chicken seasoning, lemon pepper, garlic & paprika. Next time we will try it with phesant. Great recipe Melissa!

Pumpkin Dump Cake

This was very tasty, and smelled great while it was cooking. Be sure to let it cool completely or you will have Pumpkin Dump Pudding! Still tastes awesome though, nice change from pumpkin pie. Top this with some whipped cream.
