About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much anything new! Doesn't really matter what it is...baking, frying, broiling, etc. My husband and I love to try different things.
My cooking tragedies
The very first time I grilled a steak. Terrible disaster. I don't actually have a grill so I just use one of those grilling pans and the steak turned out perfectly rare and rubbery. I tend to blame it on a bad cut.

Italian Sausage Soup
So this was AMAZING! The hubby loved it. I did a few things different but kept the idea of the soup the same. Used two cans of diced tomatoes because I didn't have stewed. Added two handfuls of zucchini and a handful of spinach. Added lots of minced garlic and a bunch of different spices along with a bit more broth. Some spices I added was a dash of red pepper, lots of basil, some oregano, dried chopped onion. Very good.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese
This is very cheesy. Hubby liked it alot but I tend to like less cheese. I did a few things differently. First off, all I had was velveeta cheese so I used 16 ounces of that instead of using another kind of cheese. I also added some cooked, diced bacon in at the end for some protein and it was great! Make sure you love processed cheese before doing it my way!

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans
Oh, my goodness! This is so delightful! I couldn't belive all the flavor that this recipe adds to green beans. I did a few things different. I used frozen green beans (which worked well because it helped add more liquid so the beans could almost boil in the sauce). I LOVE garlic so I added a bit more minced garlic, some garlic salt and garlic powder. I let the beans boil in the juices a bit and it was AMAZING! I'm sure it would be just as amazing when followed exactly.
