Peanut Butter Cornflake Crunch Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
Unfortunately, I did listen to the reviewers. I doubled everything but the cornflakes. It was just way too much sweet. It was like one big sugary brick. I will opt to do it exactly like the recipe next time hoping to keep more of the cereal shape and flavor!!!

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
This recipe reminded me of the wonderful salisbury steak I used to have when I was young!! I absolutely loved this recipe because it was so easy and yummy. It went great with my whipped potatoes. I think I did end up adding just a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Wonderful!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2006
Very VERY easy recipe - tastes good too. I used this for just a straight potato soup, without the ham. The flour/milk mixture didn't get very thick in the saucepan, but it did thicken up once added to the potatoes. We will make this again!

Colorful Kielbasa

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
This recipe was very easy to make, however just wasn't the taste I was looking for. It needs a little something for flavor...

Fluffy Two Step Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2004
This recipe wasn't too bad - I used a lot of the substitutions others had offered. However, this just wasn't cheesy enough for us either, even using two cream cheese instead of one. Mine still had more of a Cool Whip flavor to it. It did have a great taste and was a good dessert, but not the cheesecake flavor we were looking for.

Easy Easy Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2004
I didn't expect much out of this recipe really, but it left a wonderful smell in my house and tasted really good! We used beef (my husband doesn't do ground turkey either). This is one of those good country recipes for a "meat & potatoes" family! I did make sure to follow the directions of previous reviewers and sliced my potatoes fairly thin. I had no problems with them getting done, and it turned out great. For leftovers, I added another can of corn.

Haviland Glop

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
My husband is a very picky eater, but he liked the flavor of this casserole, although it didn't especially suit me. Next time I think I would add another can of tomato soup as it needed some moisture. Also I might add a can of corn or something 'crunchy' to liven it up a bit. Overall easy, good recipe.

Easy Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
Who knew alfredo could be this easy? It had a very good flavor and was easy to make, but it does not reheat very well.

Mini Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2004
These were yummy and SO EASY! They turned out great even with it being my first time making meatballs. I did make some changes based on others reviews and our personal preferences. I substituted 2 crushed beef bouillion cubes for the granules, onion powder for the onion, and egg substitute for the egg. Also, instead of tomato soup, I used the same pizza sauce that I had used in the meatballs (Chef Boyardee). We served them as meatball sandwiches, and my picky husband went back for seconds, thirds, and leftovers!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2004
Both having had Gastric Bypass, my husband and I are always looking for tender meat recipes... As my husband said, "This roast is as good as my mother's!" I made some changes to the recipe on the reviews of others. I coated a 3.5 lb roast with flour, salt, pepper, & garlic powder and then seared in a pan of veg. oil. I mixed together 2 cans of Cream of Celery Soup and one packet of Beey Onion Soup mix. In place of the water, I then mixed one can of beef broth in (a little more than the recipe calls for so I could strain out the celery and onion that my husband refuses to even SEE in his food). I threw it all together in the crockpot on low for 8 - 9 hours, adding baby carrots and potatoes for the last hour. It was indeed very tender and the house just smelled wonderful!

Rainbow Pasta Salad II

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2004
I used this recipe for my first time making pasta salad. I could not believe the wonderful aroma when I had put this all together!! It was fabulous and so easy! All I added was a green pepper and some pepper, and it was awesome.

Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2002
From someone (me) who's recipes normally turn out terrible, this was TRULY the easiest, best tasting roast I have ever made!! I followed the suggestions of others, and flavored it with additional spices to fit our tastes and added some additional water, and it was simply wonderful!!
