After reading all the excellent reviews for this preparation I couldn't wait to try it. We have done a Standing Rib Roast on Christmas for many years and the cooking has been my responsibility, something that always meant many hours of close attention to the oven, this was the most carefree culinary day I've had in a long time. I followed the recipe exactly, one hour out of the fridge to get the meat up towards room temp, then one hour at 375 degrees, 3 hours of closed up oven with heat off, then the last hour back at 375. 15 or 20 minutes of stand time, slice and serve. It was perfect, medium rare center and delicious. Thanks, I'll never get stressed out over cooking $65.00 worth of beef again.
