Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2002
GREAT!!! 5++++ What more can I say. I have used this recipe many times and always turns out GREAT!! If I am in a hurry I take dough out of bread machine and cut in 12 equal pieces. Roll dough into balls in my hand and then put them in my glass 9x13 pan and let them raise for 1 hour. Bake for 12 mins at 350.... These rolls are also good when made ahead of time and froze until ready to use. just pop in oven and warm up! Sooo Gooooood!!

Ma Lipo's Apricot-Glazed Turkey with Roasted Onion and Shallot Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2002
Not a Big Hit at my house. I am glad that I tried this before Thanksgiving. Maybe we are just old fashion. I will use the butter rub again, the meat was very moist. The kids and my husband hated the glaze, they thought it was to sweet. The kids wouldn't even try the onion gravy even after they couldn't see the onions. Both my husband and I didn't care for the gravy either.

Easy Rugalech

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2002
I agree with the other review that said we need more directions. I made this for my 10yr daughters class because they were doing a play and this cookie was mentioned in the play. I took the 2c cottage cheese and put blended it in my KitchenAid mixer then added the flour and the butter cut in to small chunks. Mixed it like a pie crust. I had to add a lot more flour so I was able to handle dough. My dough turned out nice and smooth. I divided dough out in 3 equal parts. Rolled out each part into a circle 1/4 inch thick on floured countertop. I used mini chocolate chips on the outer edge. Pressed chips into the dough slightly to make rolling easier. Sprinkled the whole thing with cinnamon and sugar. Cut each circle like a 8 piece pie and rolled up like crescent rolls. I put them in the oven at 350 for 12 mins. Was not done. Ended up baking them for 25mins (nice and golden brown) checking every 3 mins so they wouldn't burn. They looked good but the taste was bland. Maybe the raisins would have worked better. Making them this way made 24 cookies. Hope the kids at school like them better than my 5yr son did. He didn't like them at all, I did'nt much care for them much myself.

Creamy Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2003
I can't stop making this recipe! It is great. My husband loves the original recipe and I make my with added chopped tomatoes and mozzarella cheese instead of swiss. Either way this is a keeper!! Next time I might even try adding some real bacon bits just for a different taste....

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2003
I wish I could give this recipe 500 stars!! My husband and I have made this many times. I have added a little green onion, sour cream, horseradish at different times and evey time it has turned out wonderful!! We have only made it using the puff pastry shells, so good. I made this the other night at my pampered chef party and the next day my phone was ringing off the hook. Everyone wanted the recipe, said they were just craving these!! Thanks again for the great recipe!

Texas Taco Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2003
This is a great change from chili. I used left over shredded beef instead of ground beef. Ro-tel brand diced tomatoes w/green chili peppers and chili beans instead of pinto beans. Didn't have pinto beans on hand. This is so easy and everyone thought it was GREAT!

Craig's Mystic Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2003
HOT! HOT! HOT! When you use all 8 peppers this could take someones breath away. Keep away from children. I also made a batch with 1/2 of the peppers and everyone could enjoy these. I love hot food so I liked it with 8 peppers, anyone else who is not a big fan of hot, hot heat add your peppers in slowly til you reach your desired heat. Then ENJOY! We also liked this sauce on ribs.

Fried Apple Pies

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2003
This recipe ROCKS! I didn't have any apples on hand so I used a can of apple pie filling with cinnamon. I put the filling in a sauce pan on med/low heat. To make the pie filling taste more like fresh sauce I added 1/4 C sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp lemon juice. Then took the potatoe masher to it. I also sprinked the pies with granulated sugar not powdered sugar. Tasted just like McDonalds Hot Apple Pie except better!

Butterscotch Sauce

This recipe was very good. My Kids loved it on Ice Cream. The left overs keep well in the frig. No lumps or egg chunks for me, I cooked it on low and took my time.
