Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2014
Holy cow! These were sooooo good! Made some modifications based on what I had on hand and other reviewers suggestions. I used lemon pepper Adobo seasoning in place of Old Bay seasoning. I left the lime out of the dressing, used salsa in place of the adobo sauce and added capers, and served it in a bowl instead of in a tortilla. I simmered the extra marinade and poured it over the cooked fish. Used Rainbow Slaw instead of cabbage as I had it on hand, and topped with avocado in addition to the other toppings. I'm sure it would be perfect as written too! Thank you so much for the extra healthy recipe!

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I don't review a lot of recipes but I just couldn't resist on this one! It is absolutely delicious! For someone who loves thai but is cutting out carbs, this is perfect (minus the brown sugar of course). It is so versatile too, I've often used broccoli slaw in place of the cabbage. And I'll add either shrimp or chicken breast and cashews or peanuts to make it a full meal. Thank you for this totally awesome recipe!!!

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
Absolutely delicious! Perfect as is, but I also heated it and rolled it in flour tortillas for vegan tacos. I had a very little bit left over, so I decided to add some cold cooked pasta and it made a fabulous mexican pasta salad.

Corn and Black Bean Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
This is delicious! I absolutely love the dressing. I made it as is the first time (adding a little chopped onion for flavor). The second time I made it, I added chopped tomato and avocado also, which brought it up to 6 stars! Thanks for the fabulous recipe!

Cheater Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This is delicious! I didn't have the maple extract but I don't think it needed it. I added a few shakes of Butter Buds for some buttery flavor and it tastes fantastic! Thank you for saving me a trip to the store!

Ice Pops

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
AMAZING! These are by far the best tasting ice pops we have ever tried! If I could I would give the recipe 10 stars! I didn't have any flavored gelatin on hand, so I used one packet of knox unflavored gelatin and increased the sugar to 1 1/2 cups. I can't wait to try it with lemon flavor gelatin and lemonade drink mix. I think next time I will freeze them in small cups so we can eat them with a spoon like italian ice. My only wish is that I had found this recipe at the beginning of summer!

Oaty Cereal Bars

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
I was looking for recipes that called for peanut butter since I had two big jars on hand. I also had a big box of crisp rice cereal, so I used 2 c crisp rice and 1 c oat cereal. I left out the peanuts, used corn syrup instead of honey (didn't have it). These taste amazing and are sooooo easy!!! Thank you so much for the awesome recipe!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
All I can say is WOW! After years of countless attempts at making my own homemade fluffy pancakes, including all of those complicated recipes that call for beating the egg whites separately, I was about to give up. Every recipe that I tried came out flat and rubbery. But when my 4 year old daughter was begging for pancakes, I decided to give it one last shot and try out this recipe. Boy was I shocked! These are the most delicious, fluffy, and moist pancakes that I've ever tasted! Way better than even the pancake houses! My daughter is on her third one and asking for more, and this is coming from the kid that hardly eats anything! Thank you for the awesome recipe!!!!!!

Special Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
I just so happened to have all the ingredients on hand so I figured I'd give them a try. These were soooo good! I used a little less mustard than the recipe called for only because I'm not a huge fan of mustard in my deviled eggs, but otherwise they were great! I added some real bacon bits too (abt 2 Tbsp). Awesome!!!

Crab and Pea Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
I had a package of imitation crab that needed to be used up before it went bad and I found this recipe. Simply delicious!!!! Added a little chopped red onion and about a tsp of white vinegar, but it was really good even without those additions.

Chocolate Brittle Surprise

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Can't get over how such a simple recipe makes a candy delicious enough to give as gifts! I just made up three batches in about an hour and I have enough for about 18 presents. I put approx. 10 pieces in a cellophane bag, tied with ribbon and attached a personalized to/from sticker with our family holiday picture on it. I used Club crackers as someone on here recommended, baked for 12-15 minutes, and it came out amazing! Thanks for the awesome recipe!!!

Bermuda Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
This salad is so delicious! I only used 1/4 c sugar in the dressing because I prefer it less sweet. I left out the croutons (trying to go lo carb) and I didn't have fresh mushrooms. I added gorgonzola and walnuts, and this salad was over the top! Can't get enough of it, thank you for the wonderful recipe!!!!!

My Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2005
This was a huge hit! I added another can of beans and then added some taco seasoning to give it a little more kick. I garnished with sour cream, shredded cheddar, chopped jalepenos, and green onion. It made a huge pot and I was hoping to have leftovers to freeze for a later date, but I invited DIL's over and we only had a small bowl left!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2003
Delicious! I made these for the first time for company for Christmas Eve dinner and I was hoping they would be good. They exceeded all of my expectations! I used 4 different types of cheese - yellow & white american, cheddar, monterey jack, and mozzarella (I was using up little bits of leftovers). I sprinkled a little of the cheese on top. I also had to remove the foil and bake for another 1/2 hour to brown the top, but by that time the bottom came out a little burnt - so I would recommend taking off the foil after baking for 1 hour. Overall an outstanding recipe!

Tuscan Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2003
This was delicious! I didn't have evaporated milk, so I substituted sour cream. I also used frozen spinach instead of fresh - approximately 1/2 of a 16 oz bag. I would definitely make this again!

Sesame Chicken Strips with Sweet Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2003
These were really tasty. I had to thin the mayo/onion/mustard mix with water to dip the chicken. I also added mustard to the dipping sauce. It was alot of work to dip all of the chicken nuggets. I think next time I'll just make whole chicken breast halves instead.

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2003
This was very tasty. I didn't have tomatillos, corriander, or cumin, so I ommited them., and since I used diced tomatoes with jalepenos already added, I omitted the can of green chiles. I also simmered it for about 1 hour to allow the flavors to mix well. Served with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream, this made an excellent, filling meal.

Chicken With Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2003
This recipe was really good! I used 8 chicken breasts and the same amount of the rest of the ingredients and it turned out fine. I would recommend waiting about 15 minutes before putting the cheese on since the cheese came out a little well done, but overall it was an excellent recipe!

Abby's Chicken Rollatini

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2003
Out of all of the chicken recipes on AllRecipes.com, this is our favorite! My husband raved about how good this was. Usually, when I ask how a recipe is, he will say it is "alright." But he said this one was great ! I substitued ham for the proscuitto, and used a little less than was called for, and I had some provolone to use up, so I used half provolone and half mozzarella. I made this dish when company was over and served it with a chicken flavored rice mix and broccoli with hollandaise sauce. I will definitely make this again!
