About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom of three. I recently started taking yoga/pilates classes every week and I am an aspiring author of fiction novels.
My favorite things to cook
I like baking. I also like cooking with different fresh herbs, like thyme and rosemary. I love recipes that call for white wine and cream cheese. It makes me feel like a professional chef!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm still creating my family traditions. So far for holidays, I love trying new/different desserts, like the million dollar pie and cake(great), pumpkin cheesecake, and sock it to me cakes.
My cooking triumphs
My husband and I took a 7 day carribean cruise. One of the meals that was served at the evening dinners was osso buco. My husband fell in love with it. I must say mine comes out great.
My cooking tragedies
mistakenly put baking soda instead of baking powder in a peach cobbler recipe which made it very bitter. i tried getting as much of the BS out all the while taking HUGE chunks of peached along with it. not to mention all the extra sugar i tried adding to sweeten it. HORRIBLE!

Apple Pie II
all I can say is EXCELLENT.....i've tried a few different apple pie recipes from this site and this is the BEST by far....i followed darcy's updated submission and subst. 1/2 c wh. sugar w/ br. sugar and instead of apple juice, orange juice and added nutmeg and cinnamon....i'm sure the original recipe would be just as fine but i LOVE br. sugar and i only had orange juice on hand...perfect!
