Basic Buttermilk Muffins
Made these twice at Christmas time. First time followed recipe as written with the following add-ons: 1 chopped apple and about 1/2 cup each of cranberries and chopped walnuts. Delicious. Second time followed the recipe with the same add-ons as before but omitted sugar and gave some to a diabetic couple at church. Came out kind of biscuit-like but still quite good, especially with honey butter. Recipe can be tweaked so many's a winner!

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork
Fantastic pulled pork! I used a 5lb roast and intended to follow recipe exactly since it was first time. Accidentally forgot the brown sugar and Worcestershire, but since I used honey barbecue sauce I guess it made up for omitting the sugar. I did add a couple dashes of liquid smoke, though recipe didn't call for it. Served on fresh Portuguese rolls for my son's 17th birthday party so did not bother to toast and butter the rolls...didn't think it was worth the trouble. Everyone loved it!

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)
I made this cake two weeks ago for the first time because my fifteen year old requested it for his birthday after having tasted one at a school event. Everyone at our house liked it, and I am now making one for Easter Sunday. When searching for a recipe I noticed many recipes call for separating and beating the egg whites before adding to batter, resulting in a more spongelike cake. I prefer this recipe because it's simpler to make and I like the density of the cake. Thanks for a simply satisfying yummy cake!
