Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2002
A very big hit with the family. Took the advice of others and used French Vanilla cake mix, increased blueberries to a pint, and baked at 350 for 55 minutes. Will definitely be making this one again...very simple with excellent results.

Banana Bread V

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2004
With so many banana bread recipes to choose from, I read the reviews before deciding which one to make. I'm so glad I went with this one, it's fabulous! I also added the 1 tsp. cinnamon and vanilla and and extra banana. I couldn't wait to taste it and had a piece while still warm. YUM! Once my husband gets home, it's a goner! Thanks everyone!

Gramma's Party Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2004
Easy and refreshing cake to serve in the summer. What little was left tasted even better Day 2. Brought back memories of 'Jello Cake' my Mom used to make in the early 70's.

Blueberry Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
Very easy and so delicious. I used frozen blueberries and was concerned about the cake looking gray-blue due to a little bleeding, but it was fine. I may try this recipe with peaches next. Thanks!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
These were so tasty and a big hit with dinner guests. I tripled the marinade since I had an ample supply of the ingredients on hand (used lower sodium soy sauce), but only included the garlic with the batch for the chicken which I marinaded overnight. I did the 2nd batch with green/red/yellow bell peppers and vidalia onions for about 8 hours, and the 3rd with mushrooms (was afraid they'd get mushy if I soaked them as long as the other veggies, so only did those a couple hours). Plenty of marinade from the veggie bags available for basting. My husband is not too crazy about vegetables but really loved these, and I've got a bag marinading right now to skewer w/o meat and grill as a side dish tonight.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
I couldn't even wait for these to totally cool down before tasting! The batter was just enough for 6 jumbo muffins (baked for 23 minutes). I added 1 tsp. vanilla and think I will also add cinnamon to the batter next time. Delicious and quick. Thanks

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2007
A little tricky to serve (contents of tortilla spilled out the sides a bit), but guests raved. I doubled the sauce as per others recommendations. What little was left over reheated nicely. Adding this to my dinner rotation.

Bread Machine Challah I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Awesome taste and texture. My breadmaker has a Sweet setting which I used for this bread and it worked out nicely. I scalded the milk then put the butter in the hot milk to melt it and cool down the liquid (an old trick from another bread recipe I make). I also added 1/2 cup of golden raisins. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful easy recipe.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
These were delicious and flew off the plate! I used butter flavored Crisco stick as the shortening which made for very buttery flavor. Rolled them in colored sugar and slightly flattened them before baking. Definitely will make these often.

Currant Jelly Wiener Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
These were not very good. The sauce was way too mustardy. I made a large crock full for a party and ended up throwing a lot out. I followed the recipe exactly. Sounds like I'm in the minority reading the other reviews, but I won't make these again.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
Loved this cake - very easy, moist and delicious. Made it with no modifications (other then the milk/vinegar substitution for the buttermilk) in two 9-inch layers. My only mistake was using canned cream cheese frosting. Next time I'll definitely whip up the frosting from scratch.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Super easy and delicious. I made this recipe a couple years ago with a higher quality cut of pork since it was on sale and thought it was good but not great. I think the key to the tastiest BBQ pork is using the butt roast or shoulder roast (which is what I used this time). Husband couldn't stop raving about it, and it made tasty leftovers as well.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
This is possibly the best chili I've ever tasted. Made it according to the recipe then divided it and kicked up the heat on one half since I prefer it spicier than my husband. We enjoyed it with macaroni added. Thanks for this wonderful recipe, looking forward to making it again.

Sweet Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Wish I'd seen the comments about usng 1/2/ and 1/2 brown sugar and some vanilla, that sounds good. But I followed the recipe as written and ust got done making 4 lbs. of them to put in little bags and pass out as gifts. They are yummy and super easy, and I'll definitely be making these again. Now, to keep myself from easting them all....
