Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
I used this recipe to make my first cheesecake ever and it came out perfect! I followed the recipe exactly and used tips given by other reviewers. I used room temperature ingredients and only mixed the batter to blended, careful not to overbeat. I also used a waterbath in the oven and left the cheesecake in the oven for about 3 hours. The result was a smooth, creamy cheesecake that was not cracked, dry or mealy. I was very careful, took my time and read through the recipe completely. Everyone raved about the cheesecake and I will be making this over and over again. I must warn that this made a HUGE cheesecake! This recipe could be cut in half and use a smaller springform pan to make a more reasonable cheesecake size.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
My family loves this recipe. I have made it for many potlucks and family dinners with great success. I put it in a trifle dish for a dramatic presentation. It is very sweet, but since it's a dessert, it's expected.

Walnut-Filled Pillows

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
These were OK, but I don't think I'll be making them again. They were very time consuming and the pastry part was very bland. My guys ate them up, but only because the other cookies were gone.

Chicken Noodle Soup II

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2002
This makes the best noodles I've ever had. I've made them several times and they are even better when cut into dumplings. This is truly a treasure of a recipe. Everyone who tries it asks how I get such lovely dumplings.
