This is a wonderful recipe! The man loved it and requested that I make it again! He is doing the low-carb thing so he ate it without a roll and loved it!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I don't know what I did wrong but this didn't turn out very well. I cooked it on low for 6 hours and it was pretty dry. I had to pull the meat apart by hand. I wonder if the thermometer on the crock pot is off because I can't imagine that I cooked it too long. I had a 6 lb pork roast. It was very tough :(

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
These were fabulous meatballs. Cooking them in the olive oil gives the outside a perfect crispness. Both of my kids enjoyed them and they are a keeper! My kids like to eat these with tomato sauce as a meal and skip the spaghetti. I can't blame them!

Chip Chicken Lollipops

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
Unfortunately I have to agree with most of the others. The flavor was just not there-they were very bland. I "saved" them by dipping them in buffalo sauce and serving them with ranch. I will not be making this one again as is, although I truly think it has potential with flavorings, different coatings, etc..

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
This is a FABULOUS recipe. The only things I changed were the number of eggs (10 instead of 6) and I added mozzarella cheese to the mix. The whole casserole was almost gone in 20 mins with everyone saying how wonderful this is. I prepared it the night before and baked it in the morning. A KEEPER!!

I am not sure what went wrong because I have made similar dishes, but this was not good :( It was tough, did not become fork-tender, etc...I don't know what the problem was!

This is absolutely delicious! I used 1 cup of Mozzarella because we needed to use it up. THis is a perfect crock pot mac and cheese for those who like the creamy version versus the thicker types made with eggs. This is def. a keeper. YUM!!

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
This is absolutely amazing mac and cheese and I am picky when it comes to my mac and cheese! Here are my thoughts: 1. For those who think its too saucy or grainy, it may be because it wasn't whisked long enough in the part where you whisk the flour/butter and milk mixture. The recipe said 3-4 mins, but it took me almost 12 minutes to get it thick and bubbly like it asked for. I know in making things like this before, if you don't do it long enough, it won't be quite right. So put in the extra elbow grease and stir! : ) 2. I am a cheese lover. I used fresh grated parmesan and also added 1 cup of mozzarella in addition to the sharp cheddar. I also find adding other cheeses to sharp cheese sauces helps to cut out any graininess. 3. I omitted the step of pouring the noodles onto a cookie sheet. I simply added a teaspoon of oil into the water when cooking the noodles, drained them and left them in a strainer with a plate on top. I had no problems with sticking and it was easy. 4. This makes a TON and I mean a ton! I will probably 1/2 the recipe next time since there are only 2 of us but we already are looking forward to eating leftovers! 5. I omitted the salt, took out 1 T of butter, used 2% milkfat cheese and low fat evaporated milk and there was no difference in taste. 6. This will be a hit at potlucks, baby dinners, etc..and we will make it often! 7. My picky 4 year old ate two bowls!

White Sauce

I really loved this!! It was so quick, so easy and delicious! I added sharp cheese to the finished sauce to make a nice cheese sauce to pour over steamed broccoli. The family raved-even my 4 year old. A definite keeper!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
This was very good! I am sure we will make it again soon! I didn't like how the teriyaki scorched in the pan, but that could be because I used too much. I will definitely try this again without as much teriyaki. I also used ready-cooked bacon and probably would prefer it with freshly fried bacon. Overall delicious! I served with steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes and yeast rolls. YUM!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2006
Amazing!! We all absolutely loved this! Didn't change a thing!! The chicken was tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The crisp bacon and melted cheese were perfect! The honey mustard alone is an awesome recipe that we will keep using. I made some for my elderly neighbor who came back and asked for the recipe for the delicious chicken. I served it with mashed potatoes and homemade yeast rolls. AMAZING!

Tomato Soup I

Reviewed: May 22, 2005
This was the best tomato soup my boyfriend and I have ever had. The two of us ate the entire pot! It is definitely a keeper. I did cut the sugar down a tiny bit, microwaved the heavy cream and pureed the entire soup in the blender before serving. I also topped off the soup bowls with sharp cheddar cheese. DELICIOUS!
