This was simple and very good. I used one 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes instead of using the puree. I also added some salt and pepper to the meat before making the meatballs and added Italian seasoning and a bay leaf to the sauce. We really enjoyed it!

Easy Devonshire Cream

I loved this cream, the only thing I did was add an extra 2 Tablespoons of sugar. I will be making this again and again!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

I followed this recipe exactly as written and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. The scones were delicious. I had a very happy husband who has asked me to make them at least once a month from now on! Next time I may try cutting them a tad smaller as one was too big for me and I will try some of the other suggested variations. I also made the Devonshire Cream recipe which was perfect with a little lemon curd. :)

Strawberry Whipped Sensation

I followed the directions to the "t" and they were horrible. So I cooked the second sheet a little longer and didn't bother with the rest of the dough, when those didn't turn out much better.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These were the best Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I've ever made!!! I added a teaspoon of cinnamon just for spice, but honestly don't think it was needed. They were not only delicious, but came out picture perfect as well. Have already put the recipe into my "permanent" book! Thanks for sharing :)

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Love It! A good change from the same old rice or potato side. Also a great way to use all of my fresh basil in the yard. Have made this several times.

Baked Penne

My daughter requested penne and sauce as her last meal before leaving for college. Decided that this sounded like something my husband might like as well since penne usually isn't his thing. Huge hit with both girls (rarely happens) and my husband. I did add some fresh basil and used only half of the cooking creme, chosing not to add it to the top. I actually put it into two smaller pans and froze the second pan for my husband and I after work some night since we are now empty nesters.
