My first cheesecake!
About this Cook
I'm a mother of 2 girls, a computer nerd & gamer. I am also a bit of an artist. Trying out gardening.
My favorite things to cook
Brownies, pumpkin pie (without crust), cookies, steak.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is always a big deal in our house. Even if it's just 3 people eating, I go all out.
My cooking triumphs
My first time making cheesecake completely from scratch came out amazingly, thanks to the reviewers on All Recipes.
My cooking tragedies
Trying a new brownie recipe in a new brownie pan, I overfilled the cups and they expanded and bubbled all over the place. Luckily, none of it managed to spill in the oven!

Blue Cheese, Spinach Meat Loaf Muffins
Great recipe! I used frozen spinach, drained, and the whole container of blue cheese since I needed to get rid of it, but they still came out really well! I used my regular topping, but added a splash of worcestershire to it to complement it. I will definitely make this again! So quick and easy!

Smooth Sweet Tea
This recipe is great with black tea or green tea! I usually use 3/4 Cup sugar.

Bordelaise Sauce with Mushrooms
This sauce was amazing! I doubled it, but had some leftover, so I added a bit of cream and more red wine to it the next day and had it over tenderloin and dipped artisan bread into it. Both ways were so good. I did not have shallots, thyme, or red wine on hand, so I used sweet onion (diced), oregano (suggested as a replacement for thyme) and the white wine I had on hand. To be so good, even with replacements, really speaks well of the recipe. This is a keeper!
