Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
This was tasty and very easy -- I marinated overnight and prepared on the grill. I only used 1 cup of lime juice (that's all I had) and more garlic (I ran it through the garlic press, didn't slice). I actually prefer rosemary with pork, but the lime, garlic and oregano were a nice change.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2004
Fabulous! I doubled the sauce and used a combination of plain sun-dried tomatoes and ones in oil -- really tasty. I also cut the chicken into strips before sauteing. I think this sauce would be great with shrimp too. I will try with half and half next time, because it is very rich.

Barbecue Beef Cups

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2004
I also used this as a base, since I don't like barbecue sauce. Instead, I added taco seasoning mix and a can of diced tomatoes to the beef (will saute onions with it too, next time). This was very tasty and a quick and easy mid-week meal.

Glazed Country Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2003
This was really tasty -- I am not a fan of barbecue sauce, so this was a refreshing way to prepare the ribs. I love the taste of rosemary and garlic with pork. I marinated this overnight and just threw it on the grill when I got home from work. Will try this with pork chops next time.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2003
Amazing -- I made them with Craisins -- wonderful piping hot from the oven and just as good the next moring for a quick breakfast. I made the recipe exactly as written and they came out perfect. Will become a staple.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2003
My husband and step son really liked this one -- they eat their pork with apple sauce no matter how I prepare it, so this was a big hit with them. I am not a big "sweet" pork fan, but the meat was tender and this was very easy to prepare and clean up -- I also doubled the sauce and was glad I did -- it makes it easy to heat up left overs as well!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2003
I must admit, I missed the comments that this recipe makes so much! It was very tasty -- a perfect comfort meal for a frigid evening. I didn't use peppers and used all chicken broth instead of water and would likely cut back on the amount -- it was a little soupy. Other than that, will use again -- likely with additions -- I like the idea of adding celery -- and remember -- it makes A LOT! Thanks Doris.

White Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
This was very tasty -- and versitle. I added scallions and it was a big hit. Would also be very good with other "traditional" pizza toppings -- I'm thinking spinach next time!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
A really big hit -- everyone asked for the recipe! The only thing I did differently was to mix everything together instead of layering -- I served with bagel slices and crostini. A keeper!

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2002
This was not a big hit -- The pork and potatoes cooked unevenly - so that the pork was dried out and the potatoes still crunchy -- even though I cooked it much longer than the recipe called for. I did like the flavor of the cheese and french onion soup together, but I won't make this one again.

Company Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2002
These were not a big hit with my potato loving family. I think there's just too much other "stuff" beside the potatoes -- it's a little bland (which could easily be corrected with some additional spices) -- if I try again, I will use less soup and sour cream --

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2002
This was very tasty and very tender. The gravy was not a big hit with my husband and step son, but the meat itself was great. It also smelled wonderful when it was cooking. A keeper.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2002
This is a fabulous base recipe -- you can take this and add or delete to your own tastes and it comes out great. I used canned beef and chicken broth (about 5 cups) and the rest water, I also added potatoes (about 1 1/2 cups of diced yukon gold) at the same time that I added the lentils. I also added more garlic (person preference!). I didn't add the vinegar or spinach, and tinkered with the spices (added salt, pepper and some more garlic). I'm bringing it for lunch all week!

Wisconsin Cheese Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2002
I made this with cauliflower and carrots and it was very tasty and filling. It was a bit bland, so I think I will play with the seasonings next time. I also put the cauliflower and carrots through the food processor before cooking, to make for a smoother soup.

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2002
These were outstanding -- the only change I made was to use fresh green beans which I cooked for about 2-3 mintues before adding to the garlic. I also followed others advice and sprinkled on the parmesan as I was serving -- a definite keeper!

Goat Cheese and Spinach Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2002
These were delicious -- my husband loved them. I added scallions, garlic and Lawry salt and pepper to taste. I also grilled them. A great, healthy alternative to beef burgers.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2002
Easy and very tasty -- I used a little more butter and alot more garlic, and needed much less bread crumbs. I also crumbled the fried onions, so they would stick better. Definitely a keeper!

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2002
This was a big hit with my husband and step-son. I have tried MANY different meatloaf recipes and this was easily in the top 3 with them. The reason I liked it so much was that it was one of the easiest meatoafs I have ever made -- no fuss and in the oven in under 10 minutes!
