Banana Cream Pie III

I made this last night and it was ok. Nothing more than pudding pie. I used a oreo cookie crust and put some mini chocolate chips on the top. Probably would not make it again.

Wow! This was fantastic! I made it a few nights ago. The only thing I added was about 1/2 cup minature chocolate chips to the pecan mixture. Next time I would add even more as this is not your average pecan pie in that...it is not too sweet. I will be making this one...again and again. Thank you Carol!

Gingerbread Pudding Cake

This was really yummy! When you are making any pudding cake....you are always unsure how it will come out because of the way it looks with the water on top but it came out perfect. We are having it tonight for desert topped with whip cream. I can hardly wait!

Jamaican Jerk Pork Chops with Island Salsa

This was amazing! I made it the early part of this week. I used Chicken instead of pork and we all loved it. I did double the amount of flour/seasoning mixture but when adding the remainder as indicated at the end...I only used half into the pan. There was not enough liquid for me so I added water to it. With the flour mixture...seasonings...etc...it made the perfect sauce. I will definitely be making this one again!

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Wow! This was fantastic! Made it last night and with giving out a few pieces...it is already gone. I did use a bit more sour cream than called for and glad I did. It was so yummy!

Shrimp and Asparagus

One word...WOW! I made this last night and it was wonderful. I did omit the mushrooms, added about a teaspoon of garlic powder in addition to the garlic and added about a half tablespoon more of lemon juice and served it over mini penne and it was just amazing. Everyone went back for second and third helpings so...I guess that says it all!

Jamie's Minestrone

This was wonderful! I made it last night and having some of the leftovers for lunch today. I did omit the celery, wine, spinach and zucchini...because hubby does not like but it was fantastic! I did add a little sugar to it as we do like sweeter sauces/soups and it was perfect. This one will definitely stay in my cookbook!

Bev's Chocolate Pie

This was fantastic! I made it for someone very special in my life and I tried a tiny piece this morning and it was wonderful. I did cook it longer also...about 50 minutes and it came out perfect and I had no problem with the merigune...you just have to know the technique for making it otherwise...it will not turn out. This pie was definitely perfection! Thank you :)

Rib Eye Steaks with a Soy and Ginger Marinade

This was horrible! I never even actually marintated the steaks in it and so glad that I didn't. I made it as suggested and then tasted it and it was so horrible. I honestly would have done better buying a bottle of pre-made marinade. It would have tasted better and cost less.

Black and White Cookies I

Wow! I made these last night for my little one and he was so excited! They are his favorite. Next time I would have to go with the others and make more frosting. I had way more batter which I ended up throwing away. I had no problem with speading on either the white or chocolate icing with a knife. After I did...I put them in the frige for a few minutes and they hardened perfectly. I gave one to my son and he said they were the best he has ever had! He also said that I could not give any away :) Thank you for a great recipe!

Southern Butternut Squash

I made this for Thanksgiving this year and it was so yummy and a major hit! I did leave out the sugar all together. The sweetened condensed milk made it just sweet enough. I am making it again for Christmas :)

Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Scones

I made these last night and took the advice of someone that said to use hazelnut creamer instead of the butternmilk and leave out the nuts. I also added a tiny bit more brown sugar to make them just a little sweeter. Although they were very yummy....I really did not taste the hazelnut at all. To me they just tasted like big chocolate chip cookies. I did the drop method and got about 2 dozen. All in all...they were very good.

Pineapple Pretzel Salad

I made this last night and actually having another piece right now. It is fantastic! I misread the directions and only added one can of pineapple but it turned out fine. I did do as some of the others suggested and added the butter and less to the pretzels instead of pouring over and I am sorry I did because the pretzels did not stick together very well. Next time...I will do just as suggested but regardless....it was incredible!

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Fantastic! I made these last night and took the advice of several people and they were incredible. I greased and floured a 9x9 pan and they came out looking just like the picture. It is those of you that used a larger pan that...they came out too thin. I poked holes in the raw shortbread and then cooked for the time stated...then let it cool for only about 10 minutes....then added the carmel mixture (I did add a little extra milk)...let it set up well and then melted the chocolate with a little bit of half and half. I put it in the fridge for about a half hour...scored them and then let them sit in the pan...in the fridge all night. I cut them this morning and all I can say is...WOW!!!! They are incredible!!! The shortbread was prefect...the carmel was nice and thick yet very smooth....no hard in the least and the chocolate just melts in your mouth. It definitely taste similar to a twix bar but so, so much better. Try these....you will be so glad that you did!

Chocolate Pound Cake III

Wow!!!! This was fantastic! I made it a few nights ago and bewteen three of us eating it...it is gone! Very chocolaty and very moist. This has now become my favorite pound cake. Try it...you will not be dissapointed :)

Can't Get Enough Caramel Cookies!

While the taste of these are fabulous...I could not get them to cut very well as a bar. I did as it said in the directions to score while hot but after they cooled...that really did not seem to help much. I think out of the 12 in the pan....and I used a 9x9....I only had about 6 that stayed together as a bar. Now...that is not saying that I will not eat them because I actually have not stopped. Guess I will just have to tweek it a bit to try and get them to stay together. Most definietly worth another shot!

Marinade for Chicken

I have to admit that, when making this...I did not at all...care for the way that the combination of ingredients smelled but once it was cooked...it was fabulous and a nice surprise. We all enjoyed it and will be making it again.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Wow...was this ever yummy! I did make a few changes though. Instead of regular cool whip, I used the strawberry flavored and I did not do the whole jello thing. I followed the recipe exactly...except after I let the cool whip cream cheese mixture set...I just added sliced strawberries to the top and it was so, so good. I will be making this one again and again. Thank you Tom!
